I didn`t want to ruin the end of that nice little thread there, so I`ll post it here.
It seems like Ultra has activated the Ultimate Weapon, but no effect has taken place. (...or maybe I`m just an not-smart and it`s about to happen soon?! :P)
I think I`ve seen instances on the forum where this has been done by the admin, but I`ve also seen instances when it was just let go. I encourage our dedicated admin to come to a consensus on this quickly...I think that most empires on our server would like a quick resolution, as we mostly like to govern ourselves in the Normal server galaxy.
For the record, here is the list of the current empires in the Lysander Clone Attac federation:

Once again, congratulations to Ultra and a salute to all who made a sacrifice to go out of their way to attack him. Alright, I`ll shhh... now and return the Normal spotlight back to Ultra.

99+ day(s) ago | I`d like to thank the admin for working towards a swift resolution of this situation. 6 days is a lot faster than what I see happened back in March....especially since the project itself requires 3 days.
Is this going to set the precedent for the future, in that the bearer can choose?...and if so, should there be a deadline to opt in / opt out? |

99+ day(s) ago | I agree with Ragnarok`s idea of changing the NPC empire`s name, I think it`ll also be good to put up a banner...to clarify and explain the 2nd UW, and perhaps to also encourage younger empires to browse these forums a bit more.
So, is there any interest in establishing a rule for the future? |

99+ day(s) ago | The effect will happen. Mara is going to use asmodai to set off a UW. Hopefully this time it will successfully cause the resource destruction. What mara will hopefully do is have asmodai join ultra`s fed and make sure that everybody in that fed is who was in the fed when the UW went off. |

99+ day(s) ago | i dont know wether or not i have missed the plot here, but as the UW didnt actually do anything does ultra still get his name on the records? he deserves it and that would be sucky glitch if he didnt, as i said i think ive missed the plot but noone has said anything about this and i was wondering? |

99+ day(s) ago | I`m personally indifferent as to whether or not a surrogate UW will be done, but I think it will be good for everyone if this situation is resolved ASAP. I think there are quite a lot of empires just waiting...perhaps many of them are wondering whether to hold on to their UW preparations or not.
One of the biggest issues with this process is the time it takes to come to a decision and then set off the UW if that is the choice. Time is precious, and this kind of an uncertainty reflects poorly upon the game. I suggest that there should be a standard to prevent this situation in the future...maybe one of these three:
1) No NPC UWs to make up for these `glitched` ones. Add a disclaimer somewhere saying there is a (XX%) chance that the UW effects will not occur.
2) Always make an NPC UW immediately as the `glitch` is observed by the admin.
3) Make it up to the UW holder him/herself to designate their "will" prior to hitting the activate button. If that empire wants it to blow, then the NPC UW will be performed immediately.
I think all three of these ways would work, but the first one would be the easiest one on the admin and the players overall. What does everyone else think? Any other ideas?
PS: Not the biggest deal, but is there any way to REMOVE NPC empires from the winners` list? It might be misleading (and perhaps a tad disrespectful to the real winners) to have NPCs continuously listed there. |
