I know that Mara and Sol have been putting a h.ell of alot of effort into developing new events for RT
I would just like to know the following:-
a) are we still waiting for the first full on fed vs fed war event with a gambled loss of resources/ clusters/ empires/ stats / what the F*** ever lol ............ If so i know that i am a newb empire, but i am quite willing to join and participate in this event, even if it is rekatively new empires with very little to lose , if only to get this off the groun and getting tested ( to all the admins i apologies for my past attitude towards these events, and would like to affirm that from a personal point of view i salute the effort and sacrifice that you put into these events )
b) I know that there are problems with access to code in terms of D.Maru but when realistically can this be seen to be relased as a reward for a succesful UW ?
c) I know that this has been raised before but does anyone have any feasible ideas ( this includes new players as yhour fresh outlook on the game is always appreciated much more over us moany old fogies) for how to attract more players to the game ?
d) I know that many people will disagree with me on this. I think it is crucial for money for artifacts to be brought back intpo game, before you go flibbidy jibbit on the key board please let me outline why :_
i) this encourages new players who may want to gain a quick upper hand on older and more established empires
ii) no disrepsect but new players buying gordoes encourages other players to hunt them and a sense of anticipation and competition which alot of old players no longer feel
iii) there is always a risk that older empires will use this to their advantage, but this must always be measured on the fact that new pllayers more often than not do not have the patience or time to understand the game, therefore a lot of quick easy incetives motivates new players to play the game longer

99+ day(s) ago | Take this from someone who plays this game for about 8 months leaves for a few months and come back because something in the game p1sses me off and Ive been doing this for 3 years. The game changes slightly more then some people realize there are numbers of players that change sometimes im here and there are 100 members on and other times there are 75 either way the key here that will really help is not so much events or more updates but getting more players I think there should be more focus on recruiting and keeping young players here then updates dont get me wrong I like them as much as the next player but no offense thats really to keep you old fuddies that have been here since the dawn of time happy. I think for a little while you should focus on recruiting for the game. Thats why I started a training fed because this game can be frustrating for new players especially when the good players bash them"not saying any names" as soon as they first step out of dp. I know at least I got 20 new players interested in gc while I ran that fed for a month so that helps but we need more people to do things like that and advertising would help. |

Yea, I know not so profound, but it seems like you carry a lot of strong feelings about the whole gc lot mara, maybe you`d feel better if you found something more pleasant to take part in lolz.
I will also add that it may be to your credit that you take peoples` criticism so hard as it means that you care *teardrop* ha :P |

i still do my best regardless to how much you shoot me down and try and piss me off , while ofc living a very busy life that compliments the demand alot of people make of having a voluntary admin who doesnt play |

99+ day(s) ago | A) my aim was to create events you can run yourselves without freebies , no effort from the players of GC has been put forward into using the first of these... after all the freebies given to create this, were talking major freebies that would take years to gather yourselves. this tells me that my goal of events you guys can make " tick " yourselves to spice things up and make the game exciting is useless without insane freebies , half of you arnt even happy and whine about waste of time and push the freebies off / delete ...
GC is too greedy, i dlslike freebies as im sure alot agree they are unfair advantages. and ofc im corrupt blah de blah (mara 20 page counter rant on this deleted.)
B ) D maru ofc we cant do sod all code wise , but once we have created the ships , test them under the restrictions of the current D maru stats and specialties to the best of our ability , all we need from ste is a edit of a few figures that should take a few seconds ( perfect example is kalzul mineral generation )
C ) my recruitment scheme got like 3 players of gamestotal interested , omg at the insanely easy to gain freebies i offered for that , made me feel like i was wasting time and cancelled it.
D ) i hate freebies , DIE! this is GC`s corruption , this is the major problem , this is were the issue lies , your all too greedy with your 03 empires etc , no effort or sacrifices out of you , you drain the game of market goods etc etc and chase off new players to the point a giant freebie market was even made that further further screwed up GC
if i had it my way ide do my best to remove freebies as a whole and have you guys do something usefull for a change , you want a event you provide the C3 that you were so unhappy about getting free , the artifacts or hell like ive said ... anything. you make the event.
you want minerals? A miners.

They have? I thought Mara said that the GC players are a bunch of ungreatful whining S.O.B.s and he was never doing an event for us again. |

99+ day(s) ago | iv) i know that i am not an `03 vet or an early `04 player but personally i have never met ANYONE who i could not beat, but barring some drunken posts from myself i try not to bring this beef to the forum.Please i would encourage all players to encourage new players. Please be helpful open and honest, your sharing of knowledge could stop a frustrated new player from abandoning the game. Regardless if a new player is using money to pay for a n advantage, money is what makes the world go round, the more money GC makes the more popular it becomes ( For older players, some i know who hate it , take UC as an example, with an average of over 300 people logged in at anytime)
e) Support this game and support the gcore people who maintain this game, i know all the stories and backstories about pretty much most older players on RT, but just remember that for a new player reading the forum, first impressions are very important, it is clear that Stephen is concentrating on other things, but remember this is STEPHENS Fault, not the admin or anyone else
Apologies for the rant, i am heavily inebriated ( family friendly language ) and had a few things on my mind
