Despite the title of this thread, I think I`m going to stick to GY`s battle simulator.Seeing Current users: 5, I think I`m not alone here...but an alternative could be useful for times when GY`s is lagging.

GY: I think you`ve done a pretty great job updating your battle sim lately.
I see you`ve updated the # of colonies taken, the fact that a ship can only defence-fire twice, and the shiplist.

It might help if you can add an extra couple of slots for defence in cases when the defender is reinforced. Also, I think that battles finish early sometimes (after all the attacker`s ships are paired up, perhaps, if the amount of damage exceeds a certain amount).

Keep up the good work!

Macbeth?:)
Oh...I was only trying to "quote" (you know from a real forum what it is;))... got sick from seeing someone whining about things going wrong instead of being a help ^^
To avoid misunderstanding - I`ll keep my sim maintained and fixed by request (thx for strafez king reminder).

"u should be using this battlesim instead of GreenYedi`s battlesim because their battlesim is not accurate, im not saying about the random stack selection many many other things there are inaccurate.. it caused me to lose when i should win and which is also why i got inspiration to make a real battlesim"

Thx for all the support from OTHER users to fix bugs :P
And I`m sorry I didn`t fix the many many things I never heard of... (Once more ty to all people who sent requests for fixes or just changes in ship stats).

I don`t give any recommendations on what you should use - it`s your choice and it`s fine as long as you are happy :D

if you got any idea to make it more user-friendly please post them here too, i will look into it

I did a small battle test on your sim and I agree with Umpalumpa that your sim is much faster than GreenYedi`s... more community testing is probably warranted but if it works as well as it appears it may I think this may be my sim of choice, and I think the URL should be added to the list of Useful Links.

@infernal: i may get it to work with opera, if there`s quite a number of people out there using it. do you have IE or FF?

@Umpalumpa: hmm can you send me a copy of what u pasted to se7enstrike@hotmail.com or PM me (pacerier slow server) what u`ve pasted. i will look into it. it shld work when you press Your Fleet button

Yeah I`ve sent an email, it runs great and appears to be functional, but I didn`t test it too throughoughly cause I`m in class at the moment, I`ll play with it more in the future and tell you if I notice any linux specific bugs

Only big thing I see is that there`s no spot to c/p ships in, I recall you saying that was a feature, but maybe I just didn`t see it

Also I have a dark theme, so things have a habit of blending into the background lol, anyhow, You`ve got the screeny you can see for yourself

looks good though, well done =)

@Moops: so is it usable? the format may look a bit weird though the functions may work out fine. if possible send me a screenshot of what you are seeing to se7enstrike@hotmail.com

@DarckKnight: my sim uses javascript which works offline (no loading time). but to load that first page it may take sometime unless u just leave the page there and dun close it. greenyedi uses php so it needs to load each time you make a change even if its just a change of stack. hmm im not sure if i should do a manual cause there isnt much to explain how to use the sim actually. oh ya and i`ve disabled the right click to protect the source code, sry about that.. nice idea about the disband all stacks though, i`ve just added that function in. if you do not see the change try clearing your cache and reloading the page.

yeah seems nice, its faster than GY sim so far, GY takes more time to actually do the changes of putting it all running like gc, yours seems to be more accurate, you need to work on being more user friendly tough, tips and manual those boxes look small to me =P oh what about the right button of the mouse working on that thing!! i hate having to push ctrl+v to paste =P oh a button to disband all stacks would be nice to, without having to push all those x's

@ Infernal: its not, its a free web host so the url looks dumb its http://bsim.we.bs
@ DrunkenMasters: Alright, its now available for Firefox cheers ! and what do you mean by more shiney lol
@Sol: why complain if one could have more $ ? i do have enough $ to spend but i dun mind more $. if you are using GY jus cause u hate me then that`s childish, if not, may i enquire why is it that you prefer GY over my bsim so that i may improve on my simulator
@Moops: u using Linux?
@Macbeth: lolzz
@Gilead: i like it too =) though i like mine better =P
@Islander: aha, no doubt its me ^^
@DarckKnight: lol uw decoy is fun
@DarckKnight: kks, its done already at the same site http://bsim.we.bs go try it hope it works XD

several updates:
1. its now fully compatible with Firefox so now it works in Firefox and IE woots
2. i realised stephen typed l.emerald with an additional space after the dot, so the paste function now accepts both l.emerald and l. emerald.
3. numerals with more than 3 digits are separated wtih commas to enhance readability
4. modified the green battle results summary box a little
5. Its now called Pace`s Bsim V2.00 cause V1.50 sounds dumb lol
