What is the going opinion on infra research levels for a Comm Terran (and in general)
For instance, I focus on Comm, but I have 9 housing, 7 Agri, and 3 mining (I have found that the mining helps to clear planets faster for plundering)
Am I crazy to have 9 housing and 7 Agri, should I have more, less, should I max out Comm and then start on them, what`s the best practice? |

I am thinking that maybe there is a "cool" factor here, i.e. the small difference is made bigger in the minds of the players who see themselves as "experts" "veterans" etc.

99+ day(s) ago | its not entirely a problem , if i had 50 in com ide just make that 10 in housing ( lets you fit more com on planet in the end i guess ) and 10 agri ( produce my own food and extra of a fert or 2 seems you got a big col limit )
then just carry on with com , its not that big of a deal
ofc if you wanted a ` perfect ` empire it would be , but the difference between them wouldnt be worth mentioning and not even gona affect your play much |

99+ day(s) ago | agri is better than tax for terran... especially with current market. agri makes more than commerce as long as food is above 4$ which it almost always is in RT. Tax you have high base pr and downside of being enslaved. but depending on how good you are those can be overcome... i think both are prolly better than commerce tho.. |

99+ day(s) ago | yea, as comm your income isn`t terrible, but it isn`t great either. Go either tax or agri as terran (agri if you`re newb). Depending on the market, you can either be extremely rich or extremely poor, although with agri the worst you can do is sell at 1 (which, if you`re big enough with enough research and land and c3s won`t matter too much). As tax, you simply have to VM or lose money while you wait it out.
And yes, the official guide is crabby like that guy in that spongebob cartoon when it comes to what to research for infrastructure. |

99+ day(s) ago | You can only have a max off 255 total infra levels, that is, all your different infra levels added up cannot exceed 255. (Not counting levels given by missions). So when you speak of `maxin out comm`, you will never be able to get 255 commercial now `cus you have used levels in other areas.
For a commercial Terran, people say blah blah have some argi research and keep a fert, but to be honest, it`s not like you consume a massive amount of food a turn... And infact the most efficient way to go for comm Terran, and indeed comm Viral; is to amount a total of 7 levels in housing, and all the rest in pure commercial. Keep in mind you Terrans get 5 levels of housing from your missions. |
