ArchAng3l 99+ day(s) ago | agreed.. after u pester me long enough, i usually give a tip or two :P |
Archaeoptyrex 99+ day(s) ago | good tip there about attacking people a lot --
my personal experience is that vets respect activity and (possibly suicidal) bravery in new-comers first of all. After you`ve pestered someone repeatedly, they`re liable to help you =)
Allows you to join a decent fed too. |
Hiigarans 99+ day(s) ago | i need some teaching too :D |
OttOmaNS 99+ day(s) ago | ephemeral is a good teacher. |
EphemeralEternity 99+ day(s) ago | Narca feel free to pm me on RT and i will help you as best i can if you still need some help with fighting |
Moops 99+ day(s) ago | guardians who stack are terrible, ruby or tourm spam all day ftw |
VALJA 99+ day(s) ago | lmao.. few months? i`ve been here for FOUR freaking years and still can`t figure it out.. :P |
mallow 99+ day(s) ago | garudians stack??
i thought it was just ruby spams.... |
EvilPandy 99+ day(s) ago | as Chess says its complicated, its actually a good idea to save a few nice planets to being with not too many , attack other people constantly and see if they`ve certain patterns to their stacking. Learn from teh ones that kill you, use their stacks, best their stacks build other stacks, its all trial and error.
there are always battle calculators out there, and those are useful tools in the short run to see what gets what, and eventually in the long term to plan a long term high pr build.
in the mid term, and short term though just go ape on everyone, pretty soon they get so tired of wiping you out that they will give you tips, or you`ll see patterns and wipe them out and they`ll either avoid you like the plague or beg you to join their new fed. |
chessRPGrulerKoA Game-Admin 99+ day(s) ago | That`s a complicated question. There are certain places you are more likely to see some ships. For example, at 100 million pr fighting a viral, the most common two ships to see on top are Pyth and D. Angel. So leading Queens *could* be a great idea, or it could end in disaster (if they have, for example, V. Borrelly or V. Chiron on top). If you don`t know where you might see a certain ship, or what kind of ship would most likely be in a certain stack position, then the only thing you can really do is experiment, or possibly appeal to more experienced Guardian players (in your case) for advice. Experimentation is definitely key here; if you want to be able to test out more stacking techniques faster, you can use the Battle Simulator here http://cb-clan.de/sf/battle.php?stylename=sfstyle.

Narca 99+ day(s) ago | hmmm ok ill see what i can do ill come out of dp shortly i havent attacked for a while though since i need 10 colonies ill probably destroy my 2 edens since i dont need em anymore but either way i will try and see what happens when i can does it matter where i put them exactly if i dont know their stack? |
Exule 99+ day(s) ago | If you are a guard you should definitely attack on careful and normal a lot. Careful seems to work out quite nicely actually. For offense as a guard you will probably be using mostly race ships and using both race and neutral on defense.
The trickiest part with guard is defending. You`re going to want to make use of strafez fodders, queens, and large runners. C and F class aren`t too bad of an idea for defense either. |
Narca 99+ day(s) ago | hmm ok Exule i have read ur guides also they r great even though i have read the stacking guide and still dont understand and i mix neutrals and such but always lose 2 colonies and all that and i have been told as guard u always attack on normal or careful and the balencing of the stack in pr i understand from uc lol i do thank u for the advice im hoping 2 hear from others so i have a variety of things 2 try |
Exule 99+ day(s) ago | take a few minutes to look at the ship list in the GC manual and make sure your first stack is within roughly 10k pr of your tenth stack when defending and attack on normal. When attacking on careful, use large hull ships in your stacks along with dummy stacks for the stacks that you don`t have big ships to occupy.
Effective use of both neutrals AND race ships will be key in most cases. |
