  Ship Descriptions Out Dated?

Here is the one for the T. Garuda -

The Destroyer is the first flagship for the Terran. Its armaments include multiple high-intensity Plasma batteries and Swarm missiles. Each Plasma battery consists of several plasma burst cannons powered by plasma particle accelerators, capable of firing long-range plasma beams that cut through most alloys at very high temperatures. The cannon forms a large bolt of hyperactive energy and plasma that explodes with the equivalent of a small thermonuclear blast causing significant damage via electrical fires or general hull damage. These Plasma Cannons have a longer range than most Terran beam weapons in the current arsenal. The secondary weapons of the Destroyer are Swarm missiles. Swarm missiles are design to take out smaller support ships fast. When fired, these look like your ordinary fusion missile, but then they break apart and blankets a large area with intense tetra shells. This is also called MIRV (Multiple Independant Warheads). These tetra shells rip apart smaller support ships that cruise right into them. The Destroyer is only moderately bigger than the frigate and sometimes is even mistaken for a large frigate, but with the guns come online it has more offensive capabilities than the Cruiser! However, with all the weapons it holds, the Destroyer does not focus on taking massive impact thus needs to be protected. The Destroyer is a formidable opponent in the frontline of war and can steer the course of outcome if used wisely.

It says it uses swarm missiles yet it does zero missile damage and 400 energy damage. Did this ship ever have split damage? (im newish sorry if dumb question)

Garuda has always been weak to missile...It has never had missile (not even during the 1.05 version of the game). It is a great ship...and aba is right, the description is a little hazy

nope never had missile damage as far as im aware. Just dodgy description....

UNLESS!!!

The missiles are plasma tipped thus do energy damage upon detonation rather than being kinetic penetrators that have to impact and pierce the hull of the ship.

Another way it could happen is antimatter (yes...my favorite element as we all know now I hope). If the missiles detonate before impacting they can produce a `spear` of super heated matter/antimatter int he process of annihilating each other weight for weight. With that amount of high energy total matter > energy conversion the missiles would deliver next to no missile damage and thus be pure energy as no physical impactor could survive contact with antimatter pellets or other wise due to mutual detonation upon contact. Also it could also possible help contribute to the Garudas shields due to the high energy state of space that would result from the swarm missile detonation.

I could come up with even more things that explains it, but in reality it is out of date and dodgy description
