Posting 10K at 50, 60, or 99% below market value is fine by me. Its was the annoying practice of doing 30 turns of research then posting, doing 30 turns of research and postin, .... That got *slightly* on my nerves..
Personally I hope people like parasite keep posting food at 10 (low mass users who help me make even more money off of food *grin*) just do it when you have accumulated some real food..
New empires who need cash *now* and take 90-100 turns to make 10K have at it Ill buy it up for you and we both win (you get money selling food at your bodega and I get food that I can sell at a higher price in my upscale grocery stores). When I first started as a collective I posted usually in lots of 100K but I posted near the current market value (usually 1 credit below), as soon as my infra was up and I had decent reserves I held off until a million units...
Thats the way it should work mineral miners would not be looked down upon for buying up rutile at 250 to turn around and sell at 900 even though many races cant make enough minerals for their needs (guards/collective/viral in particular) . |

99+ day(s) ago | I dont think that technically you are cheating either parasite, it might be an annoyance to people but its not like you are repeatedly posting below the limits of the market. Due to the post limit it is also not possible to post 10000 individual posts of anything so that part of the page is out of date.
Firestorm isnt doing what Example 1 of cheating
example: if a someone sells to you minerals at a low prices and someone buys back the same minerals at a high price is a clear example of cheating.
He is buying cheap and selling expensive which isnt mentioned anywhere as far as i see.
Personally i dont think that cheating page is really that good, although staff members will be able to define cheating better. It is extremely vague and basically says if anything you do gives you some type of advantage it could be cheating, so technically alot of things people do could end up being called cheating.
Not that this makes any difference to me anymore and i wont be making any more posts on anything, just waiting to decide who to give my remaining paids to then i can leave all my accounts |

And youre welcome, you can alsways be my low end supplier who makes less off of his food than I do.. |

The low quality will discourage mega empires from waisting time buying such small qualities repeatedly. It gives other players a chance to buy really needed supplies by slipping in between people like FireStormZ who wants one large post of billions , so he can buy the market out at lower prices , turn around and sell at higher prices.
AGM94 : Read the rules ( bottom of page the part FireStormZ skipped over ) where the heading is : " DEFINATION OF CHEATING " , go down to " Case " , and read " Example 1 ". You say " its a tactic " , but does that make it right , or legal . If we give the new players a little help here and there , warn them of pit-falls , help them understand the game concepts and ultimate goals ; do you think they will come back ? Or should we bash them as they come out of DP and strip them of all dignity along with their planets .
My prices are not high , I agree , but they are twice what it cost to make ( from my understanding of the game , food cost 4-5 to produce and I was selling at 10. A modest profit , ( thanks FireStormZ , ) but not under market value , well under greedy players mark-up. I must say , I could not keep the market stocked fast enough . If the Game Guides tell me to stop , I will . I just think this is another " tactic " as AGM94 puts it. |

This is a game that is competitive to the very end. If you don`t like how Parasite is using the market, buy his stuff and sell it back to the market. Haha I`m doing it and not complaining because I can afford it. When I first became a collective, I had a hard time making money. I had to sell the bits of food that I had for 9 cash or lower. Now the market is up, and I am taking an advantage of it. |

Then what will happen is newer players like me will cut over to collective of agri maru and supply will increase. Nobody weeps for the agri empires when food is down low enough to put pressure on them.
There are plenty of virals who seem to be doing just fine on the server perhaps they have invested at least a little into commercial to ride out hard times.. |

99+ day(s) ago | Its not against the rules to buy cheap on the market and sell it more expensive and its a tactic used against tax empires keeping the prices high although i never particularly liked it that much myself, with the prices that high tax virals are forced to vm and it also can drive new players away from the game when they have to pay so much for food. |
