  1week till T emp H mow edit`s  

well im going on vacation tomorrow to turkey for a week , during that time ive decided to make this thread , im sure some people have already noticed L emerald and G corrundam build rates have dropped to 1 , and that we now have the ability to edit ships

so as planned a long time ago the T emp and the H Mow will receive edits.

personally ide like to see the H MoW remain a small starbase but with lots of firepower and no defence ( weird for a starbase but well i feel that kind of ship would suit collective best , but hell thats me and im just plain weird ) this excludes capital ship talk and such , the ship must remain small and be built in number

now T emp isnt going to have a rebuild , just an improvement , and not big ones.

over the next week feel free to Politely discuss both ships and all your idea`s on the matter

i dont want to come back and see flaming edits and insults thrown all over the place , i also dont want to see emo comments like ` whats the point ` and such

if i come back and like what i see in here ( in terms of no flaming and such )

i will then work on D maru ships / race with everyone to make the race balanced and playable for UW users.

I would certainly like to see some missile damage put back in there, or even chemical damage instead. Collective certainly needs some spam defense and adding in chemical would help with that. Not a ton, but just enough to give it some more teeth.

Of course more hull could help too, but do we really want a ship that`s next to impossible to kill again?

well i consider kinetic comes second to chemichal just cause there are more ships with negatives mods on kinetic than on energy
and the ships most usually spamed have positive mods on energy, so the energy atack on mow doesn't makes that much of a difference

indeed. It appears all the guides that talk about MOW need to be changed now. =/

also, the battle sim needs to be updated too.

anyone even like the new MoW? I dunno seems pretty weak to me now. The Man-of-War, the jellyfish like creature, packs a strong punch, but is definitely weak hull. All im saying is maybe add 50 missle...

but remember energy attack is actually the best out there, after chemical.

arch its a starbase not an offensive ship theres a difference in giving an offensive ship chemichal than a starbase, collectives need something to stop spams and win since they barely have no retal ships
current mow gets killed but doesn't kills enough of the spamed ship to be able to be a decent starbase with "lost of firepower" like maraudian definition
and its not chiron like since it would have energy chemichal damage, more energy damage than cheichal damage to make it balanced

I know I haven`t been around the past 2 1/2 - 3 years because of military training and the like, But I`m going to throw my 2 cents in, for what its worth.

I believe that D.Maru should be playable as a paid race.
I do not think that the power of the ships should be that insane, I mean - Everyone is going on about having a powerful race, but isn`t that what Guardian was designed for and the fact that Collective has been over modified would defeat the purpose of enjoying the game.

My suggestion is that the game does require an enslave race as mentioned in a previous post. Marauder at the moment is a full on active and plunder race. So why not make Dark.Marauder, The opposite to marauder and have them as an enslave race. As for modifiers, I could post what I think they should be as suggestions. The way I see it personally is that you cant just engulf the game in power hungry races. Especially with how the NPC comes out every so often. You`ll find that the game will go from using a bit of strategy to requiring next to none. That isn`t how this game was back in the day, and it shouldn`t really change. Alot of people will agree with that, yet a lot of people weren`t around then to compare. Dark.Marauder should be able to enslave all races (including guardian, viral and collective). how ever they cannot enslave marauder. (Pretty pointless when they plunder for their cash).

How many think this is a better option and if something doesn`t sound right or if you want to add something..feel free.

Just a personal approach to the situation, but I and a lot of others will agree that power isnt the way to go with this race. Even thought it seems like a pretty cool idea now, have a think on how its going to effect those other races that you cant R.E ships. If you do decide to go for power hungry race, then all races are going to need ship modifiers re-looked at to even the game up more. Or it`ll be way out of balance.

yea, at least have no retal on it. That would at least give some teeth to this thing and help in anti-spam defense.

I was just giving another reason why I think collectives shouldn`t have another chemical-attack ship. Be happy with the almighty brig.

Ehh Arch, why does paid vs unpaid make a difference? One of the worst things you can do for a game like this is make it where if you pay for a subscription then you get all these overpowered advantages over "free" players. As it is the advantages players have as paid vs unpaid are fairly modest. If this game is to be balanced, then the paid races shouldn`t have unfair advantages over unpaid as far as ships go.

Um Darcknight, I did consider giving MoW chemical -- but I thought that`d make `em too good for a free race. Would make the MoW into a better chiron.

I think Collectives are lucky to have the chemical attack of the brig. If any race could do with another chem attack it would be maru (D maru?!) since:

paid races get this advantage --
viral: borry/chiron
guard: Hun le/Hun Xe

Terrans and miners ... don`t.

Consumer goods is the least profitible thing A.miner can do... & its always been the job of one anyways.

But A.miner missions do need a major re-write then. Either way the current missions throw newbies off to the least profitible A.miner income.

We once used Kal to flood the market with minerials back in the day... why not D.Maru for Goods
