Mouichido85 2008-04-24 | | The Newbie Questions :) | | 1) How things divided with the ranks? Newbie, Ok, Medium, Advance, and Pro???
2) If Ore goes for 15000, and there is a high supply?? Usually an Administrator is the one who does it IF the market is dry in that area?
3) The higher in the rankings I go, I can assume that the players will have higher stacks 80% of the time?
4) Is it true there is a limited amount of people who are nice to others?
5) Is it true that most of the pros like to cheat the lower ranks, for example the market? Scenario, ore for 2000 cash.
ANYONE WHO HAS SOME OTHER Questions.. ask it here. :) Do not be embarrass, I am not. I just wonder. |

1) unsure so cant really help with that
2) ive always found full stacking works great from about 500k up to a few million in most cases and that the higher you get generally the less effective it is(mostly because +130 gets larger as pr increases so your advantage is more in pr)
3)
GC fed dont have LT because as far as i can remember they werent put on uc till after the gc had last been updated. I imagine if gc ever does get updated that there is a decent chance that might be included, obviously since its been so long since the last update and in that time features have actually been removed not many people are expecting an update at all |
Mouichido85 99+ day(s) ago | People can also ask their own newbie questions here too. So there may be two number 1s and so forth. People are listing there questions. |
Squall 99+ day(s) ago | how come there are 2 number 3s? |
Trailia 99+ day(s) ago | 1.how come if your suspended they don`t till youf ro how long normally?
2.How come spam wins over stack below a mil pr 95% fo the time. When you reach about 3 mil pr spam looses to a good stack 80% of the time.
3. How come GC fed don`t have LT? |
Mouichido85 99+ day(s) ago | ask questions here too.. This would be the newbie questions thread :D. |
Anfit 99+ day(s) ago | in other words, if just produce food and sell it at the market, your master won`t get a cent out of that...
only the money from taxes (pop+loyalty), sales of goods to your population (pop) and commercial (commercial nodes) count towards the income, which your master demands tribute from
market sales, slave revenues and such are unhindered by slavery |
AGM94 99+ day(s) ago | If i remember correctly tribute is 15% of the per turn income you make it comes from the slaves income if you make nothing per turn obviously the slaver makes nothing from you |
Fiden 99+ day(s) ago | As "anyone" was encouraged to ask questions, here is my two cents:
How is tribute calculated and is the money taken from your income (if you are enslaved) or is it just a bonus amount for the enslaver*?
*It is so in A....s** kingdoms
**another online game. |
Anfit 99+ day(s) ago | some weird behav can be attributed to my mods. like, very fast follow-up attacks.
see http://mmanir.sytes.net/gc/ |
AGM94 99+ day(s) ago | 1) Under 5k Newbie protection a player would generally be seen as a newbie but even that doesnt really classify players. Ive seen skilled and not skilled players of all empire ages at high pr and low pr.
3) Once you have played awhile you get to know players base pr roughly so it is fairly easy to calculate max amount of fleet, most players will have a full set of dummy stacks and quite alot of stackers have more than 10 stack generally roughly 12
4) Most players on the game are fairly nice when you get to know them a little, generally people will give nicknames and complain about their ingame enemies which can give you bad impressions of players but just try to get to know people yourself.
5) There will always be some players that cheat or try to take advantage of the rules, some players post cheap because they have an excess of something. If you see something cheap posted you can try report it and or win it yourself |
DrunkenMasters 99+ day(s) ago | max 10 stacks go in the battle(up to 12 with reinforcements), the max ISN`T 10 stacks |
Sol 99+ day(s) ago | 1) The rank of newbie is only awarded to players below 5,000 PR. after you cross that boundary your rank is a number and it represents how far away you are from the top spot.
2) Ore for 15,000 is set by an administrator from the `admin panel` the normal maximum price for ore is 10,000. the 15,000 ore is only posted by an admin when the market is inactive.
3) Ranking is based on power rating. (PR) and the more ships planets and population you have determines your PR. so more PR normally means a bigger fleet yes.
4) People with (G)`s on their names are NORMALLY nice to players and you can find the odd player that is helpful but mostly people look out for number one especially being as its a war game.
5) The `pros` as you called them dont neccesarily `cheat` the lower ranks, but they do have a large control over the market due to their huge resource stores and fenomenal buying power. |
Moops 99+ day(s) ago | Pertaining to number 3
it depends, because tax players like myself have a high pr due to high population
so if im at 10 mil pr, i may only have 7 mil pr worth of ships, because my base pr is already 3 mil
so if someone attacks me, they are at the same pr, but they may have 10 mil pr worth of ships, cause they prolly have a lower base pr than i do
number 4) just make a post like this, people who reply nicely are nice players :p
number 5) i assume your talking about a market transfer? its against the rules and people used to do it alot, but i think its harder now because of price limitations on items now |
Mouichido85 99+ day(s) ago | So far I like the previous two answers..Thank you so far folks!! :) |
bipbippy 99+ day(s) ago | 1.) Who is a newbie and who is a pro is usually a matter of opinion. I, for example, have over 10k battles, so someone just looking at my stats might consider me a "pro". But anyone who actually knows me knows I`m still a total newb when it comes to battles.
2.) If there is Ore or other items above the max price and max posting amount, that is the "Black Market" and is put there by an admin sometimes when there is no other supply in the market. This is to help out the people who really need to the stuff, but is higher priced so that it doesn`t undercut or supersede the postings of a regular player.
3.) Generally the higher PR you are, the more ships/stacks you will see.
4.) I have found that most people in this game are actually pretty nice, if you just take the time to talk to them.
5.) If anyone is cheating in this game, it`s usually because they`re using a bot of some sort to do the research for them. There`s not a whole lot you can do in the market that would be consider cheating, except for posting at 0 for the purpose of "giving" the item to a specific person. If you see ore posted for $2000, it`s probably because someone`s just trying to make quick cash, or because the person is used to playing on a slower server where the ore price is much lower normally, and they don`t realize that they can post higher. |
Bobbysindustrialpat 99+ day(s) ago | Posts on the market above the limit (eg ore over 10k) are put there by the admins to keep the supply up.
Sometimes people wil post stuff cheap, but it`s probably to force a change in the market and hurt the big suppliers there.
A lot of pros sit at low pr and newbie hunt, or restart regularly, so there`s not such a division by pr. Just look at their stats to see if they`re experienced or not (not necessarily good) |
Squall 99+ day(s) ago | 1) below newbie protection and above it o.o
2) max price for ore is 10k......and i dont understand the question
3)erm yea higher in pr means more ships...... usually more stacks too(max 10 stacks )
4)well as there are limited people who play this game, so the amount of nice people is limited too :P
5)what do you mean by cheating the lower ranks.... |
