Hi ive been going to http://www.sfcommunity.co.nr/ for a few months ever since i first went their to learn how to stack. Well i got bored so i started reading the Fanfiction to wait for turns and some of it was realy good. Yet what i thought was sad none of it had been writen in like 2 years.
So i am thinking of writing a story of my own and posting it on the website.
was wondering if anyone still uses the site and if people would even read it before i spend time typing it.
and if i think enough people will read it ill start a new thread in a few days for people to post ideas.
please get back to me and any ideas will be great thanks

that in fact there are 4-10 sign ups on the community site a week.
That is more than there used to be each week from the second half of 2005 onwards, sign ups there has been picking up the last month or two. They aren`t all GC, but many are.
People that sign up just never bother to post on the chat there. |

some of that stuff is good stuff to read... but spacefed is dying... so not like it matters all that much when the game is dead...
Either way the better leaders & players are going, i mean the older players who are slowly leaving... especially on RT... |

For anyone needing profiles approved there i have approved all to date, and usually try to do that at least once a week, and problems PM EvilPandy on gc ultra since i log in there a lot more than i log in to gc.rt.
The site can host a poll there starseeker, its limited to one item a a time which 10 choices for things to vote on though, but the problem is that during polls only about 20 people bother to log in to vote there and its mostly the same 20 people, mostly guides ex guides, and one or two people that don`t like guides but not enough of a collection to make it a viable place to vote.
fore voting i would suggest keeping it in game, that way even if someone were to vote from different speeds its not really a bit deal but as people don`t have to naviagate away from the game its more likely they`d do it here than anywhere else.
from experience with players in this game, the only other way to get something done is to email people. but that`s not a viable option.
Lazy is key if it involves less stress and travel for players (therefore game forum) then its more likely they`d vote.
Perhaps keyword in the tital could be
April Vote / Poll
for example then ask whatever in teh main part and limit people to a yes, no or maybe answer.
allow only comments on a maybe answer and that makes it simpler to count up, a maybe answer if reading comments could end up going either way if the issue were resolved.
again just suggestions, enjoy figuring it out :) |
