  Goods Miner  

Come on...Arent there anymore Goods Miners out there?

I tried being a goods miner on normal, forget about it... It *might* make sense on fast now because you can never see goods but making money with minerals is far easer. Im a viral on normal and end up getting goods for 3 more often than not..

I produce goods. The problem is im so busy during the week i dont post for most hours of the day and im not that old so i don`t produce mad amounts. I am only producing almost 30mil goods every 45 turns with 50k land and lvl 40 research. I also tend to invest most my turns in fighting so its a slower process. A mineral miner my age has over 100bil and i`ve been staying below 30 bil =/

On the Main point now.... GC`s

no motivation for GC A.miner now in days... MAX storage limits suck... a player can fill them in no time at all with food or GC`s if someone maxes out an empire... its been done in the past... GC`s only really benfit those buying it... the one making it only gets the money from the endless buying... but honestly from in the past with mass posting of minerials.... GC`s would be a freaken nightmare in my opinion

Im sure food producers can agree with me here... players who massively produce so much they max out & cant sell their products easly even with mass production... others under post u... then once people buy an amount they want they stay at that amount & never buy more....

I`ll agree to give GC`s to another race... cause honestly another race could use the Income... most A.miner or minerial for the easy life or tax... few go GC & few well & most dont stay GC A.miner for long...

Give GC`s to guard, Maru or Collective... collective or guard would be great... i think collective would most benfit...

i agree with bippy... i remember stephen working on GC... opinions mattered back then... remember the voting of GC players in the past... then stephen went to save UC... improved it & forgot about GC... now GC is dying & stephen doesnt care it seems like...

true Maraudian. But if I remember correctly, that number actually stayed up there for awhile. It was Stephen switching his attention to UC that seemed to cause the loss of players in GC. (I`m not saying UC didn`t need attention, just that the lack of attention to GC caused a loss in players).

the game also had a online count of 400 or so before , 150- after

most miners (on RT at least) don`t choose to go the goods route because it simply doesn`t make as much money as minerals or taxes.

Before virals and collectives were introduced there was always plenty of everything on the market. So many goods that sometimes you`d see them posted at 3. So many goods producers that raw materials could be found posted at 2 or 3. And minerals were posted at 400-500 each, with plenty to spare.

I think the introduction of two new races that didn`t do any major production of their own seemed to eat up all the stuff on the market.

Of course, the game was also younger and players with max cash was a rarity, rather than a common occurance, so it`s probably a combination of the two.

Not sure whether making Marauders industrial based will make them easier or harder, but rather then giving explorable races the CGs they want ; i feel that Collectives & Marauders should be the power houses =p, that should make fighting much more interesting, when people cant explore

well it would make sense to boost the good miners ability a bit too, as it is far less profitable than tax and mineral miner.

yeah but they do have -50% in agri, drop it to -90% and put like +50% in industry efficiency, don't think theres a point in having so many races eating cg's and only one making them, one already that is suppose to produce something else

solution, make another of the existing races produce goods
marauders wouldn't be too bad of an option, give them a reason to planet hoard and get rich by another way of making cash instead of only plundering, just like collectives can go either plundering or agri, marauders either plundering or cg's

im pure mineral but ive donated 60k land to CG production at lvl 5 , it aint great but it rakes me in a few billion ^^ , problem is people buy out the goods in one go so none to go around :P

yea ace your SOL when it comes to CG`s unless your fed mates produce =p
