non paids are getting 20 now, whereas you`re getting 30. You`re still getting what you paid for. An ADVANTAGE. 30 a little while ago WAS the paid advantage, 20 the unpaid. It`s a glitch in the game that for some odd reason it reverts to it`s original state during DMs. Suck it up, you`re STILL getting what you paid for. Nothing in your paid says you`re getting 45 turn storage, what it DOES say is 50% bigger storage than non paid. That`s what you`re getting.
After removing `Free Account` restrictions you will get:-
+15% extra turns !
+50% extra turn reserves !
+20% chance to finding artifacts !
+20% (up to) more land when exploring for planets !
Use max of 99 turns instead of 9 turns (for research)
Current Turn storage is 20, you still have what you paid for ( 15% more turns & 50% more storage compaired to a none paying empire )
in other words stop trying to give that excuse... you did not pay for 45 turns 45 turns was the raised bonus not too long ago.... |

My job in the real world is a manager in a very busy fast food restaurant, so I know quite well how to handle the "angry crowds" lol. I have 3 children, 2 of them under the age of 2, so whining and crying is part of my everyday life :). Plus, I`m approaching 30, so you don`t have to worry about me having a teenage temper tantrum :P. (No, I`m not taking shots at anyone, only stating my qualities.) |

and of course noone is suitable for admin position, there are very few people that can handle a angry crowd, do lots of stuff and ask nothing in return, thats what the next admin should have in mind "suffer insults and complaints the whole time without even blinking or receiving " and bare it if you can't, step down let someone else have a try, its simple has that, if it's a volunteer position, i don't think anybody is pointing a gun at guides or A's to make them "waste their time" on the game |

4. He works 8 hours a day on weekdays only which once you include everything he does works out at what maybe a couple of hours sorting out GC issues
compare that to volunteer admins who can spend a couple of hours just answering there PMs... |

Bipbippy since i started as a guide over a year ago (actually it is almost 2 years now) the amount of complaining has increased dramatically, probably because of the lack of good updates by stephen. Guess who has to deal with it... Also the bigger issue is not the amount of moaning/complaints. There are staff specific sections of the help center for a reason, and you should be using them. IF it was up to me there would not be an in game forum. The forum would be separated from the game requiring a separate sign up, as this tends to weed out people who simply want to moan at everything and make admins lives difficult. As a result i would regard the older help and forum system superior as they wern`t directly linked.
the last 3 (wait now it is 4) admins have quit as a result of the players complaining and slowly getting them more and more stressed. Unless pandy is willing to take over again you are guaranteed to get a UC admin who will not be anywhere near as capable of dealing with GC issues. Also as primarily a UC staff member i seriously doubt they will be able to put anywhere near as much time and effort into GC as maraudian did.

wise words by these two old players, read it well people, GC G's and A's after a while in those positions usually gain the "i'm always right, i deserve compliments, if you say something i don't like, your moaning and whining and i'll hold a grudge on you forever, and i'm a god` type of attitude.
heres some things to think about if your applying for these positions
1.the players are humans, you are human, the game is coded by humans (this here should say it all)
if you don't get point number 1 continue
- players don't agree on everything, people will always complain
-some people will complain more than others, doesn't means they hate you or don't praise your work, just they want to see things done differently
-the players make mistakes
-you make mistakes
-its a VOLUNTEER position, if your applying or doing stuff cause you want people to praise you for your work or you are a person that needs compliments to keep working, your in the wrong place.
And if you quit in anger wishing the game misses you or cause you wanna laugh at how the game gonna be without you, heres a tought, the game lives on, no matter whoever resigns or joins. (unless stephen decides to pull the plug lol) and it Doesn't matter if the next one does a better or worse job, GC is has bad has it is lol.
Apply if
- you can take the heat, maintain calmness and not be a crybaby cause people don't recognize what your doing, your work, the time you give up for this game or for them has an A or G, your |

i just hope that maru takes a break and then continues to try to improve things here`..
maybe the results wasn`t as expected but it is nice to see someone taking their own time to try and make things more interesting..
but eh, i am just a pirate... you know the saying.. "do not trust pirates" hehe |

.5 X 20 = 10
.5 X 30 = 15
Either way you are getting your 50% worth... technically... though obviously people have come (and I think rightly so) to expect a turn cap of 45 for RT, and I believe stephen instituted that change so it should stand. |
