I lost interest in GC, and i will remember my time here as while wondering why i spend so much time here. There are uncountable many muogs available, and a huge fraction of it is not as unbalanced as GC, and probably the owners of even a bigger section of online games doesnt treat its customers as this specific brown cream (we all know what i am talking about but cant say due to forum regulations).
There are few people trying to save the game like anfit, or the latest changes by the admins, but as long as nobody has the guts to fix the viral upkeep (which is possible by the admins if the upkeep also rises for marus) as long the game will be unplayable unbalanced. The general argument is always that all the paying virals are scared away. That implies that many of the virals are whiners, which fear to fight other players/races on equal footings. Even so probably everyone knows at least one example of such a player, i really dont think, thats a large quantity of the viral population. Even more, if these cowardish (usually paired with unintelligence) players leave, thats propably a benefit for GC. On the other side, without the viral fix, a hellofalot player quit like me for example.....
In addition, i have yesterday played Master of Orion (the very original one, freely available as abandonsoftware at http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/101 to run under dosbox), and have recognized, that a game 16 years old game exceeds GC in gameplay in basically every aspect. Thats just sad.
So as a heartly goodby to all friends on the one-and-only ultra server, i give em a uw, to have at least a little bit of fun these days. The stack is
