99+ day(s) ago | Yes, and hey, lots of US people despise anime and hentai anyways because at first glance the drawing style is strange and not "western" looking. I`m guessing these are the people used to "Walt Disney" quality of drawing (although that`s been going downhill lately not to mention plotlines).
Besides, if you`re insulting anime because they are "TV shows with little monsters fighting each other", then you may as well have insulted "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and a bunch of other "western" cartoons.
Twitch, if you don`t like cartoon animation in general, just say so ok? Different cartoons are aimed at different audiences. "Family Guy" and "Futurama" are aimed at the 17+ crowd. DBZ as mentioned (or Naruto) is aimed at the 12-20 crowd. "Winnie the Pooh" is aimed at the 12 and under crowd but has universal appeal depending on your demeanor and sense of humor. If the character is in Middle School and 15 years old, THEN IT IS AIMED AT PEOPLE 12-17!!! |

99+ day(s) ago | Yes, I am sort of finding out the hard way that DBZ is filled with a lot of filler. LOL. I mean I like the plotline, but there is a lot of distraction from the plot too. I guess if you like to read the manga first (comic books for anime basically) it`s a bit disappointing. Sort of like watching the Japanese version and then the English dub. Naruto Shippuuden is actually really really really good. A LOT less filler than the original filler. A LOT less (although there is a longer delay between episodes too).
And TPE, no it isn`t what you showed me. I actually managed to find the original DB and started watching from there. I sort of like the watch things "from the beginning" in order to get a sense of background. The movies are sort of a distraction from the main plotline.
But like it or not, I believe DBZ was the first "popular" anime in the US and was sort of the first of several such shows in the anime genre to make it in the US. Correct me if I`m wrong of course. |

animes like bleach and naruto ( i watch both ) all contain fillers , yet still are good , DBZ makes both look filler free and has lost its apeal to me , my personal opinion on the matter and a fair few im sure agree or disagree , depends on your tastes |
