Hello,
I paid for a month, and since I am on Mac OS platform, I discovered I can`t download anything.
I may have missed it, but maybe that would be nice if it was CLEARLY mentioned that Mac OS X players can`t get anything extra if they become paid members of the game.
Not only that, maybe I was very unlucky but when I paid for a month I had to pay extra donation no matter what my choice was. So please do include your "donation" thing in the price, otherwise this is called no longer called donation but forced donation.

As for the downloads, they are for everyone and are not for paid only members. The paid only members things are all server side and require NO downloads.

Paid Users get the following bonus options:-
- Ability to start a new federation
- Able to complete all missions
- Able to play all (playable) races
- Tons of heavy CPU features at your disposal
After removing `Free Account` restrictions you will get:-
+15% extra turns !
+50% extra turn reserves !
+20% chance to finding artifacts !
+20% (up to) more land when exploring for planets !
Use max of 99 turns instead of 9 turns (for research)
NONE require downloads.
The downlads is just a client that is finiky and dodgy to run properly even on the machines it`s ment for (Windows running systems and such...meaning non linux and Mac OS systems pretty much).
Trust me on this, your missing out on NOTHING that changes the game play or give you ANY advantage over anyone that does/does not run this apart from possibly faster loading times by a fraction of a second. |
