Staying terran ensures you get a proper grounding in the game and get to understand the ins and outs with a more evenly balanced race and not loose heart if you get beated up if you were miner (ships take a bit of getting used to and skill to get good use out of them) |

On topic:
Stick with terran until you are confident that you know the basics of the game then try out another race, be it paid or unpaid. Run through the missions and learn to stack (if you want) and just experiment. If you mess up in a bad way just restart and try it again, or attempt to recover from the mistakes that you have made.
Contrary to popular belief, alot of the older players WILL help you out with advice and tactics amongst other things if you just ask them. If you don`t ask, they simply don`t know you exist, or we see you as just another target. Ask around with the high PR players (not always best but they are most of the oldies) and scout out some of the older players (by older I mean over 100 days of playing, not just started last month :P)
Sometimes you will simply get ignored, other times you will be granted with a nugget of information that you never considered possible.
Most of all if you can, try out all races and have fun. That simple. PM me if you want any assistance |
