Miners get raped by collectives. :P

Considering revising the ship right now... some decent suggestions would be appreciated.

the tireme loses to all miner ships...

i thought miners were meant to be able to take collectives easily... or at least thats what it says in the manual

if this ship does happen can someone please sort out the research tree, the last time we were given ships it was a bodge job. collectives should have to specifically research brig`s and snows and MOW`s

Of all those ships you mentioned, bark does equally well if not better on offense (more range but still has the no retal/no defense).

And bark, with its 5k hull, does better on defense too probably.

Plus, we have the brig. Good capital killer that (though I personally don`t like it)

Yes. Nirv spams are still a problem for collective. hercs were too, but the brig does a good job of dealing with that ship, offense or defense (on normal attack, even nirvs need to have more than 125% to get a win out). Sloops too. But unless you build a massive amount of brigs, you`re gonna die to nirvs a lot. Even Barks and galleons don`t fare that well to nirvs.

If this ship does well vs pyths and nirvs and tyr and those other ships, I`m down for this ship.

What`s the 50 scanner for? Collectives can`t explore.........

Yes... test the ship against what it is designed for... it is STILL modifiable. But we aren`t looking to give you a ship that will rape everything. Specifically, the ship is a counter to guardians... so how does it do in that arena?

Collective has enough ships to deal with all these ships mentioned zenith. But as you know it`s weak(especially on RT) when someone starts spamming(be it ruby,tourm,nirv,pyth...). This ship is designed to kill all those ships, and it performs pretty well against:
1)nirv
2)pyth
3)K class
4)ruby
5)tourm
6)tyr on defense
That is a long list of spammable ships so the ship will play its role.

Can`t believe I forgot to check chlor...

Trireme attacking chlor from 130%:
Agg: Total defeat (1 shot wipeout)
Norm: Total defeat (16.8% of chlors killed, 100% Trireme dead)
Care: Defeat (23.8% chlors killed, 50.8% Trireme dead)

Chlor attacking Trireme from 130%:
Agg: Wins 3 cols (1 shot wipeout)
Norm: Wins 3 cols (2.8% chlors killed, 100% Trireme dead)
Care: Wins 2 cols (7.4% chlors killed, 89.6% Trireme dead)

These ships win vs. Trireme if attacking from 130% PR with said stance winning said no. of colonies:

Aragonite (care 2 cols, norm 3 cols, agg defeat)
Lyth (care 2 cols, norm 3 cols, agg defeat)
Lictor (care 2 cols, norm 3 cols, agg 3 cols)
Flysch (care 2 cols, norm defeat, agg defeat)
Chlorite (all stances complete wipe + win 3 cols)
Epidote (all stances complete wipe + win 3 cols)

Collective ship that dies to miners? Ha!

The R class usage is because of the capture rate. Does the name matter? The ship is designed to be unique, and to spice collective, not to give it more spamming power.

Ehhh... it shouldn`t beat any of those ships. They are all range seven or higher except the lictor, which has shields powerful enough to largely negate its damage.

Out of curiousity... how does it fare being attacked by said ships?

I`ve been battle-simming this ship...

Trireme oses to these ships when attacking from 130% at any stance (agg/norm/care)

Lictor, Lyth, Aragonite, Flysch, Epidote
And only beats chlorite on careful...

This ship better be da.mn good at stacking... I`m pretty sure thor can beat some of those miner ships on agg, but this ship is just outranged so bad...

well ok theres my opinion, keep it in line with he other r class if your going to make a r class, i personally think that unless you create an entirely new class of ships for collectives then it will be hard to make a new ship for them.

well theres my opinion, its not that i think collectives shouldnt have a new ship, the complete opposite, i would love a new ship, just try and keep it the same as other collective ships.

has anyone tried this in a battle calc against the likes of hercs lictors and angels?

The point of no hull is so it`s not spammy. Personally speaking, I like spammy ships. Never liked the thor... or queens...

No, mallow, I don`t say it for that reason o.o The low hull is because the ship is not designed to be spammy one. But it shouldn`t be TOO low.

deloiche i think comparing the hull of this ship to that of other races is kinda pointless, if you look at all the other collective ships they have about equal pr:hull, so i think a small increase in hull would be better purely for that reason,

r snow: 1.41
r schooner 1.43
r sloop 1.34
r pinnace 1.23

im sure this the reason why people are saying it needs more hull, mainly because all other r class have bigger hulls
