  Fed Battle Stats

Lots of info in the stats section. Would be nice to see the battle stats by fed, not PR or Planets, but battle activites.

you got that right. With most of the paid staff with access to coding concentrating mostly on lag issues or UC (from what I gather), there isn`t that much attention towards adding features. Maybe because of.....fear of lag? O.o

stats should not be too hard to do. it`s more a matter of participation, than actual coding. i`m working on it on the side

Maraudian newbie hunting is always going on. either way this would show stats of the higher federations as well & most of those players cant newbie hunt anyways.

so it does show a good bit more relistice setting plus it would give federations NEW GOALS instead of

Bulldung would it be tough to code battlestats for a fed. There is a fed activity page with all the fed battles in it... unless this game is COMPLETELY messed up, that should come from some type of database... easy enough to add a win or a loss to a fed based on new entries in the activity.

Last I heard, it was in the 100s of thousands. That may seem like a lot, but relatively speaking that`s actually pretty cheap compared to what other games` code would sell for (think millions here).

But, if someone actually went through the time and trouble of making a GC clone, except with better coding and so forth, i doubt Stephen would have the legal funds to sue.

So... how much would it cost to buy the rights to GC off Stephen I wonder? I figure since he doesn`t seem to give a flying foo haha about it, it couldn`t possibly cost too much...

Couldn`t you do it with grease monkey? Shouldn`t there be a way to stream the data from GC to a separate server, and then use a grease monkey script to allow the user to modify the site? Anfit`s doing quite a bit of that lately, and it`s proven useful.

If the game creator won`t give the game any real loving instead of worrying about things like server lag and UC, then it`s time the players were allowed to make changes for themselves (so to speak). If the creative minds in this community had access to the data on the server in regards to stats, I`m sure there are some interesting things you could do with a grease monkey script.

no point looking at me , im just a little empire with no powers other than those of evil and destruction , muwahaha ruby spam in yo face , anyhows :-(

i think feds should have multiple ranking filters like stats do

most planets best ratio richest most power rating etc

as a whole fed total , but thats also an insane far fetched idea probably impossible to do

that ideas been around and seem to agree with it, still not yet though
*Looks at Maraudian and stephen

Here`s a better suggestion.... Make VMers` planets not count toward total fed planet count while they are in VM. hmm! Would be interesting to see a bunch of feds suddenly drop from where they are...

well you can always do something about the experienced players picking on n00bs. *such as me* like not count those battles in as stats unless they are building up their empires.

heh that would take extreems to code and maybe even impossible , gotta remember gc got no love , weres the love :`-(

could be based off a point system or something, like u get X amount of points if u win against saomeone with 1000 wins, X amount if u win against 2000 etc...

This would be too hard to implement, but battles could be weighted by no. of wins the defender has, i.e. it would promote vet hunting

i agree

Green streaks ftw , however this would promote newb hunting too much ( just my theory on it )
