Can anyone tell me why? I check the Guardian Race Profile story... nothing there indicating that guardian population cant be rewarded.
Stephen can u set it to ON for guardian reward system :)? Hate to see my planet have red color loyalty :(. Most of my capture population have low loyalty :(.
Common... its not fair for guardian in term of gathering money/credit. We Guardian can only go 1 way... and that is taxing ppl. To get more money, we need more population and more population means higher BASE pr. So in other word we cant go that far :(. Not to include we can only have 10+3 max colony :(
Compare to Viral that have 12+3 max colony, make tons of money, build lots of cheap upkeep ship and go high PR. We guardian cant even go that far :( without entering dedt or minus income lol
We guardian already have -85% from taxing.. so at lis give us that reward option :).
So what say u guys? Common voice up guardian!

UFDRA 99+ day(s) ago | agri gaurdians only work when food is expensive and you have about 10k worth of u.fertiles. level 100 agriculture helps a bit as well, of course. but you ned level 20 housing to complete that one mission (not-smart requirement) |

I do agree about Guardian Ship but since this is a Reward Topic, i wont talk about it here :).
I hope with this u can see 1 guardian / 5 Viral ratio.. rather then lots of Viral and no guardian to be seen.

GolanXV 99+ day(s) ago | I must agree with idea of this topic, it will be nice to be able to reward our pop. I`m not going to write again about guard high base pr, poor income and so on as we all know about it and others have already mentioned it.
I like a loyalty cup at 2500 or better 1250, it`s a good way to not go too far.
Maybe this slighty incrase in guard income will bring a little more life to them and even encourage more people to choose guard as they race. |

The person who takes out a UW
(depending on how much damage they do, get`s there loyalty increased (depends on how powerful the UW player is, and how damage is caused to him/her) but yeh gets there loyalty increased, i.e more money for gaurds who defend the galaxy, i.e gaurds prepare for UW`s, and fight them and destory them when they come...

StrikeFreedom 99+ day(s) ago | Definitely agree with some of the players point.. we oni have few ship to work on regular basic.. guard is a race build to fight high.. due to its high base pr and the high build rate of ship.. however an important factor of able to fight high is forgotten, money!! how do u expect empire with low income to fight high.. also with all the major weakness in the guard ship, poor range, missile and some kinetic.. guard really need to build neutral ship to stack.. it really cost money to build neutral ship with high upkeep (except strafez). oso we need to build significantly more neutral ship in our stack since we need to stack high pr due to our high base pr..
therefore i like to idea of able to increase loyalty.. maybe can thru the reward and could set a cap if they don us to get too rich.. or maybe have some sort of artisfact to increase loyalty.. or even give u loyalty when guard attack npc uw like kalzul or d`maru... |

As a Vet Guardian on Turnbased on both Normal Server & Fast server which has 100housing & K.Hun-Xe - i like to point out one thing to all theses recent posts - They aint address the question over loyality - you started chatting about our ships! Which by the way we got improved abit!
What i would may like to see is a go between where if a Guardian get a planet/colony below 50 loyality we can use "Reward Pop" to bring it only back up to 50! |

Penury 99+ day(s) ago | i cant speak for all guardians as i`m playing "odd" combinations of guardians (agriculture and mineral). however, anything to make the race more playable is desireable. i find it silly that it takes over a year to set up an empire for battle; that`s not "hard"; that`s silly. making a race "hard" to play doesnt equate with all the research thats required to make a go of it. if stephen were to make the research less onerous, i bet more guardians would be out there and more guardians would be battling; not just researching.
also, i`ve found most guard ships are nearly useless as "defenders of the galaxy". there are about 5 that i can work with on a regular basis; the rest just dont seem to have any use except as stack fill. if this indeed our role [defenders of the galaxy- sounds important aint], should the boats be better?
just a thought. |

Think about how bad it is for TURNBASED guardians... where a year of research and you`re still poor. The only reason my normal guardian does so well is I lucked out and scored a max loyalty planet, so my base c2 is 2500 loyalty. |
BadSicilian 99+ day(s) ago | guards are built for the high prs...but, sadly, it takes a LONG time to prepair your empire for such things...took me a year of solid luck and researching to get my empire to where it was, and then in one weekend, it all fell apart...lost four u. larges 13k+ and one 15k, all 1.3k and 2.5k loyalty, to a tax miner, for reasons beyond my control, but hey, my luck had to end sometime :)
and yes, guard are amazing at fighting VOTN, BUT not in defense...

heh, i don`t reccomend spamming strafez at any guard...we have the highest kinetic dmg per ship...strafez weakness is kinetic...try thinking before speaking some time.
and yes, a p.thor spam is a pain in the ass...but i`ve found a way to counter it, and it is no long a problem, the ONLY thing i havn`t found a solution to so far, is ahurc spam on careful...hurcs own all of our ships on careful, nothing cna be done against hurcs on careful that i have found...best solution i have found is fdders...and i hat building fodders :\ |

When i say ON .. i mean set it to True or False like programing stuff. In other word make Reward option available to us Guardian :).
I think lot of ship can KILL us Guardian :) like Tyr, Herc, Nir, D.ANGEL!, S.Queen bla bla bla the list goes on :). For a newbie... yes maybe we guardian look hard to kill... but if u look closely we guardian have lot of weaknesses :). I surport BadSicilian claims :)
Talk about unbalance... Viral with money can spam D.Angel, Pyth, V.Bor, S.Queen and all those cheap upkeep Ship lol. With only -30% on commercial, Viral can have lots of money perturn and sustain them at high PR with even a surplus :(. That unbalance for u :)
Taxing is a double edge sword... more money = more base PR. Below 50 loyalty planet hurt us... but we Guardian cant increase Loyalty to fix it. Imagine a 20k+ C2 with only 22 loyalty... pain me to c it everyday :)
I dont know... i just feel this game make it very hard for us guardian to go High PR. It even feel this game dont WANT us Guardian go High PR :) lol. |
BadSicilian 99+ day(s) ago | as HOJ has stated, guard incoem sucks, to, thus said, we guards mostly stick to killing off the defenders in times of an UW, back during karo`s UW attempt, there were so few ppl hitting him, the ONLY reason he failed, was because me and a few of my other guard friends kept the defenders off our virals tails - letting them build up, and get a few big hits in
the fact of teh matter is, guard has crabpy defenses, and has a really crabpy income, we pwn on attack, but the onlly way we can win in defense is either a newbie is attacking us, or we get really lucky, or we have a defensive stack, and not an offensive stack, there is no in-between stack that works good over all, so guards buildig up to hit an UW, instead of attacking its defenders, is a bad idea...since we get wiped across the board rather easy by anyone that knows a lick about what they are doing. |

HoUrOfJuDgEmEnT 99+ day(s) ago | guard is to limited in income to acomplish such things, I devoted over 250 days playing guard and running an all guard fed that made it to the top 5 and even for some of the vet guards it costs alot to climb to 100 mill, how can the guardian race defend the galaxy from the UW when it would take literaly years to build an empire capable of sustaining itself at such high pr? and 25k turns for xe? its a watered down li in disquise, I dont thing guard income is balanced, upkeep is low which is cool but you have to have 100-150k land plus max infrastructure in order to accomplish such a feat and lets face it with all the money I spent on paids and gordos its not worth it in the long run when a viral or terran in 1 months time can make it to 100 mill pr |

Not many people stop uws from going off(i have been actively against pretty much every rt attempt in the last year so would know) luckily the recent uw stacks have been maru spams without much support which is why they have been killed |
