Currently: Shielding is Foul
Suggestion: increase Energy Shield +25% Becoming +20%

Ship: M.Lyth
Currently: Reasonable
Suggestion: Increase Range +1
4k pr drop max ( please feel free to reason on this below )
Defense Modifier
Energy Shield + 45 % increase 10%
Absorption Shield - 25 % Increase 10%
ECM + 45 % Increase 10%
Ionized Hull - 35 %

Ship: M.Chlorite
Currently: die without doing much alot of the time
Suggestion: Removal of No defence

Ship: M.Chlor
Currently: useless even as a singular dummy :-/
Suggestions: ECM and Ionized Hull Shield Increase 25% Becoming +10% on both
Deiloche / DrunkenMaster`s Suggestion: Include more damage ( 200 / 300 )

Ship: M.Calcite
Currently: Similar to Chloright just more unapealing
Suggestion: 1.Removal of No defense
2.Kinetic Shield Increase 15% Becoming -15%

A.Aragonite
Currently: Dies Easily
Suggestion: Increase Kinetic Shielding +35% Becoming -30%
Hiig`s & Deiloche`s Suggestion: Increase Build rate to 40k per turn ( 8 units )

Ship Updates done

all updates above done in some shape or other (my discretion added with inexact figures), also increased Lyth upkeep slightly

why not try decreasing the power rating rather than take away no defense? just take off 100-150 power rating and it would fair a bit better, dont you think?

Yeah. I kind of like that idea. If it seems completely unbalancing, well, things aren`t set in stone... but it would be interesting to explore the option.

Even the chlorite damage is fairly low... while I somewhat agree with your position, Hiig... I would like to see just what effect removing the no defense has. The chlorite lacks the firepower of any other primary missile ship for any other race... and it`s ability to survive isn`t terribly great either. Perhaps this one small change will really help with the defensiveness of the miner race... or perhaps it will screw things up. Lets give it to a trial and find out. :)

i still disagree the remove no defense on M class missile units.

so, someone said u want defensive, range 9 is enough. for offensive, if enemy got Destroyer, enemies ship will always fire 1st same go to if u defending. that`s the point of using Destoyer- long range, so u should blame ur luck n skill but not the Destroyer.

missile units should hve no defense as a price for the higher dmg per pr. it is a standard to all the missile units.

yea, it was just a "can do" suggestion, not a "must do" one as the requested improvement of Hal & Kryo....just fire up the current status, one can fine tune it later

ok i think with the improvement on the lictor , and this lyth , two ships that are already spammed , this will increase odds alot

add that to the smaller ships being improved and i think theres more than enough for ingame trial , the update wont close after they are added so depending on the results things can be changed untill the majority are happy.

i think this is more than enough for now , dunno bout you lot but heh =)

well, reducing compared to what....
Down there somebody though, that miner ships shall make less damage and therefore have more stamina compared to ships of other races. If one considers that twoandahalf upgrated arags catch the same amount of missile damage and only 10% more kinetics as a single Tyr (exactly equal pr), then one could question, if the advantage in the other shield types justify the significant lower damage...

-make the arag a battleship. That reduces the pr for ~10% and reduces the number of retail attacks, so demotivate spamming.

hmm i like maraudian`s idea. very fair compromise. i still dont know if increasing the range would be a good idea though.

then all talk to gether and remake its shields , its a public update for a reason

my suggestion if anything would be


Ship Attributes
Defense Modifier
Energy Shield + 45 % increase 10%
Absorption Shield - 25 % Increase 10%
ECM + 45 % Increase 10%
Ionized Hull - 35 %

that with range increase and power rating reduction would make this a fairly good amount better than the current :/

Aginor, you got the right idea... but I don`t like your shielding changes. Grossly excessive.

+35% energy
+5% kinetic
+35% missile
-25% chemical


Just throwing some numbers together... but those are reasonable shields for the lyth.

maraudian, take a look at the shielding on the lyth. it is VERY laughable compared to any other dreadnaughts.

i mean you are trying to make the aragonite have better shielding but as it stands the shields on the aragonite are far superior to the lyth lol.

also, aragonite would have shielding better than a 2:1 with the current suggestion. it does fair enough against angels and tyrs as it stands so just make the shields on aragonite to

+25% energy
-40% kinetic
+25% missile
+25% chemical

and my suggestion for the lyth as i said in an earlier post would be to make shielding to:

+55% energy (it is a missile ship and they typically are supposed to dominate energy ships)
-35% kinetic (already enough, no changes necessary)
+55% missile
+35% chemical

giving it a decent defense modifier set up to set it on par with other dreadnaughts

The point of updating a.miners is so that they are NOT a counter-driven race. :P That only works on RT.

You can`t counter from 10X all the time. That`s it.
