  X Planets Useless now  

May be the minority here, but with all the NPCs around, what is the purpose now of X planets? They used to force us or at least attempt to force us to fight, but now most just get tossed around or clustered. However the exception is X U Class and X Dead are more of an eyesore and most collective/Marauder`s aren`t even plundering them (if there is even 1 or 2 on the server playing that race). It`s more of a hot potato that`s a dead useless colony potato. So why do we even have X planets now? I am speaking from a TB not RT perspective.

Or just give me a bloody 1k turn project to blow up X U planets or convert them to useless gas planets.

@GOM, that may be true for RT, but not for TB servers. I cam barely hit an NPC now for planets. Yeah could fix that issue, but hitting NPCs to grow is the only way when most empires remain small/exploreable.

enough people get dope clusters, itll be worth hitting them.

Keep sitting on your gordod larges and ferts yeah, nobody is going to hit you because they cant win anything of value off your easily explored borders

hard cap them aswell at 2k turns so when you go over 2k turns used while holding they auto plunder themselves with below effects xD

lets make it so the colony above and below the X class planet have all there infra killed off to 0 inc housing if the planet is plundered (make them be plunderable) or captured ^.^, this will really x you up if u let it drop too close to your main planets xD

Its not a challenge at all, more of an annoyance. No one hits me for over 2-3 days at base with two X U`s, so defeats the purpose of the design of the game. This is non-RT, but even on other non-RT servers, I could sit for days/weeks not getting hit at base.

Unless you have an NPC scrubber bot, I don`t see these X U`s going away at all and just hampering players from playing the game.

Grumpy says he wants to keep to make game harder, but when we suggest he has to fight for planets instead sitting on his gordod planet and exploring for borders he complains that game will be too hard and he wont have time to play that way.

so they go from worst to best type ? how would that ever be balanced? 5k turns turn a x ularge 2.5k into a ularge 12k ... yeah great idea raist maybe come play the game first

Oh I am certainly not in charge, that I can assure you. You`re far too negative nancy for me to want to put up with on a daily basis.

Getting back on the topic that Omeg created the thread for, as he mentioned in the first post about a project. What about a project that could be activated every X amount of days (increased based on the server you play) that is basically called Terraforming. Have it roll the dice based on the amount of turns you put in. Maybe have separate tiers, something like -

Turns - 250 : Completely random results, will be non-X class but can be any type of planet and the land values will be within the average to below-average range.
Turns - 2500 : Non-X Class, but within the same U Class (so if it was X U Eden, it`ll be U Eden).
Turns - 5000 : Same as above, but the land values would be closer to the max for that planet type

This could give players a relative easy way to remove the X U Class without too much trouble, but also would open it up for some more interesting results.
