GrumpyOldMan 99+ day(s) ago | lmao @ Lucifer, there is a problem. Sadly if you change something on one server, you change it on another. This game is old, and that was the way the game was made, cant be redone at this point in time. So any changes you make on 1 server affects all servers.
L.Emerald honestly isnt that great of a ship, if you were a guardian you would know that. It is a decently balanced ship, and very easy to counter. E.class ships are more OP than L.Emerald, in fact since i am an RT guard you`ll find me using E.class over L.Emerald anyday, but turn base there is a need for L.Emerald and it`s current build rate.
You compare all missile ships and destroyers in this game, it has a 1:1 ratio for weapon to power ratio.... L.Emerald is like 75% of that, that is 25% less than the average. The offset to that is a faster power build rate.
Sure nerf L.Emerald to 30k BR a turn & keep the build rate at 2, but give it 1:1 weapon to power ratio. I swear you none guardian players would complains a crab ton more.
Only thing i can agree on is C1s/C2s/C3s needs big boost to their modifiers.
Also you want guardian to hordo planets, you gotta fix the high base power issue and increase max colony count.
Finding good loyalty planets is hard, also rewarding through missions is a hard task as well, in fact it is dam not-smart. Only way to have good awesome loyalty is find a good U.class planet, do the guard missions & earn the loyalty rewards. You trying to make a C2 and get the loyalty, your screwed because you cant, guard gotta have 300 planets in the end to complete the guardian missions.
Misc well fix guardian missions to. You wanna fix guardian, it will take forever, your gonna nerf it, buff it, break it, but a fix haha, good luck. |

*Proposed changes for Guard*
Cut tax based income on single colonies by 50% - that would make guardians unplayable on slower speeds to the point where you are forcing them to obtain clusters. Oh, but they can`t loyalty clusters, so doubt they will get clusters with good loyalty to maximize the income.
Increase income on clusters by 15% for for c2`s, and 25% for C`s - I don`t think that is the best solution and to be frank, what we should be doing an income/land approach as BW/Raist mentioned. If you go with this approach, then you have to allow guardians to loyalty up to 5K then, I don`t see any other reasonable option that has been brought up. I would then change all mission rewards from loyalty to something else.
Increase Max colony by 2
Nerf Tourm hull by 15%
Nerf Tourm br from 6-5 per turn - tourm changes are fine, however they are rarely used on TB because how slow they are
Nerf garnet br from 5-4 - thats fine, but again, I rarely use that ship when I have other ships that are better.
Nerf emerald br from 2-1 - DIsagree here, the L. Emerald is a necessary ship that needs either a remake or to stay the same, the reason for L. Emerald on TB is for certain strikes, otherwise I don`t know many guards on TB that use this ship alot.
Upon completion of missions restore the old ruby - Disagree, ruby is fine as it is.
Honestly, the mods/stats on most guard ships need to change. Any good terran/miner/marauder/viral can keep a guardian down on TB mainly because of the income advantage. Sure, guards can build faster and have great ships, but without a strong income that argument is pretty much null/void. |

EnderWiggin 99+ day(s) ago | Those changes wouldn`t do anything. Research amount is a non-factor. Doesn`t affect RT, which is where they are broken. Proposed torn changes would do nothing but reduce build rate by like 15%, which isn`t the main problem with tourmaline at all (even though it builds faster than any other races destroyers by a fair margin). Halving the income gained from tax and allowing reward might help in a way on RT, but would be devastating to turn based guard, and would only currently serve to make early empire guessed harder and do little to nothing for the parts of guard that are problematic (ship stats/build rates).
Best metaphor I can think of is that the different servers are like different race tracks, and the races are different cars. Guard has a shower acceleration than other races, but a way higher top speed. Turn based tracks have corners and turns where that all evens out, but RT is like a drag race that lasts forever.... Acceleration matters very little after the first 2-4 months, the only thing that matters is top speed... Also the guard car has bullet-proof windows and drops spike strips... Just because. |

Enable Reward Pop @ 10x cost, with a default amount for zero-pop cols.
Delete Xe.
Disable gordo.
