99+ day(s) ago | MastaKilla, glad I am not the only one who cares about server balance. I started on this server and on ultra to try pick a fight. It became apparent the the UW ships and the big blocks of people in the dominant feds are to strong. Oh and also that miner ships suck and that commercial Terran is a joke. I think the UW ships as a rewards are probably best left to the normal server, and something better given out on the turn based.
On the normal speed server when joined the fed I am in we were no bodies, then we became the dominant, and now we are second best. So for some reason we get movement on there, fast and ultra are stuck for some reason. Maybe its becasuse to many big empires have done all of the UW`s on fast and ultra and got the UW ships and not just sit there dominating everyone. |

Im glad it succeded, I really had my doubts after several big hits from Sarek/Katz/Iodadilos and with 12 hours to go I had to go hiking with some friends in an area with very limited to no connection at all, so I probably couldnt have rebuilt if you hade made a last effort.
There were a good amount of BTCs spent on hits, and if Katz had used hers on caps in sted of fez it might have gone differently, but it was good to see the server put up a fight. If there had been more active empires fighting Im pretty sure I would have failed.
Thanks to my fed for looking good in the ranks, Omeg cleaned up nicely in the lower ranks and ToN was there when Think went BTCing, and thanks to Arnwulf for putting up a decent fight and actually getting me pretty concerned in the last part of it.
On a side note Sarek. I think Im actually one of the few ppl here who gives a dam.n about server balance, on every server I started playing in opposition to the dominating fed, but on many servers the tables have since turned. I havent invited any of the recent empire joining our fed, and I actually voted against letting them in exactly with server balance in mind. But due to the somewhat democratic process in the fed we have let them in... so maybe you should work on your recruiting technique :-)
Blowing big OP empires up should also work for server balance. I had 300k land making 2.5mil food as a marauder... selling at 10 (which is the lowest price I have ever sold for during the 2.5 years of my empire) would make my break even point somewhere around 100mil PR...
