OttomanKoN 99+ day(s) ago | Yeah i agree with ASM, that Guards are pretty easy to fight against, however since their build rates so high I woudln`t call them weak at all. They do the most damage to UW`s, they can single handedly destroy UW`s .. eTC. |

Omegian 99+ day(s) ago | As far as ship tweaks, I kind of have a list, but I would need to design the ships in GY, tweak them, test them, etc. I rather propose ship changes that seem reasonable than half *arse* it by suggesting anything solid right now. What I can say to some degree in my opinion and I think many would agree is that Guards do need some ship tweaks in both good and bad ways as do other races if Guards are tweaked. In no way am I speaking on behalf of anyone or what Admins are going to do, but I have been involved in the ships and some starbases tweaked in this game and don`t mind doing it again. |

Omegian 99+ day(s) ago | Asmodean, not sure which part you want me to explain, so I will explain my personal opinion on this.
Currently, a couple of races are weaker to guardian than others in terms of ship utility (firepower, mods, etc.) and/or build rate of certain ships to combat that ship. I am negating spamming ships as whole and looking at it from a ship to ship basis. If I factor out neutrals (C & F Class) - Terrans have 7 ships with missile damage, ad 6 with kinetic damage ships (Note Kin/Missile ships are counted in both ship sets). Aspha Miners on the other hand 4 missile damage, and 5 kinetic ships (Same logic applies). Lets say I continued down this behindysis, the thing is half of the ships mentioned for each race either line up really well with their guard ship counterparts or do not. There isn`t a middle ground on some fights which is the purpose of guards on defense, you either win well or lose alot depending how you are stacked to your opponent and your attack style.
Some guard ships have too high of range and positive mod configurations compared to other races that are to use ships to fight guards (excluding K. Class configurations). In the pre-modified ship days, guards were substantially weaker to missile and kinetic ships than now and now have a more mixture of mods in the Kin/ ECM area which has made it easier for Guards to defend against certain races. On the flipside, the guards have an amazing shill hull/pr advantage, ship upkeep, and build rate advantage over most races.
Regardless of the mods/ship utiliity, the Guards have as many decent ships to use for certain ships of any other race to play with. Adding an SB would result in proposing to change other race ship mechanics to better reflect server balances of race ships. Regardless of how many guardians there are on a server or in the top 50, I do not see the logic of adding a starbase doing anything when you have neutral class ships that aren`t all updated since EE is working on (E. I do not count myself a strong Guardian...quite the opposite. But seeming as how everyone seems to want Guardian ships nerfed, I suppose my real question is `Why?` |

It is one thing if guards needed an sb, but they don`t. I am no way trying to quash the idea or discussion, but my question then do guards really need another sb or ship? Any other guards want to chime in. |

Collectives could do with another starbase also. |
