AdmiralSarek 99+ day(s) ago | That`s what I meant, just like food prices rule out some empires making money on taxing, perhaps CG`s should be the same, some races can sell to their pop at 6, others 5 or 7, so there will be more of a market for CG`s and at a higher price. So CG producing empires will be more useful. Might need to nerf taxing a little bit to compensate though. |
EternalWolf 99+ day(s) ago | Put it another way, at 5 per CG, i make no profit as guard so that counts me out as a customer. If they were at 4, Id always be maxxed storage as i buy any and all i see at 4. Guards make alot more credits per turn with cgs than without. So, the easiest way to circumvent the issue entirely is to set the sell price to your population from 5 to 6. Boy that sounds awful like what it was when the market cap was set at 4... well, its the same thing... |
EternalWolf 99+ day(s) ago | I think he mean to increase the amount you get when you sell to pop. Buy at 4, sell to pop at 5 i think is how it is now. If you increase to 6, you can see the logic of selling at 5 on market. Now, its a storage medium because the only way you make money off CGs bought at 5 is to be out of DP. No modifier needed, and substantial boost to comm terran and comm viral income paths. |

EternalWolf 99+ day(s) ago | Makes sense to boost Terrans commerce.. But while I love Guardians and would love to see them improved, they are fine as is economically. Patience is an investment with long term results, AND you dont have to be tax. A good eye and quick clicking can net you billions on the market, as will alot of exploring and ore mining.
Lets hash out some aspects of this proposed New Race. Lets call them Bankers
We will need to come up with some modifiers for their econ.. without doing the math, theyll need a large boost to industry such that it becomes their best income. Their CG storage will need to be more than 2 billion. The price cap will need to be put back at 4 to encourage sales, OR 6, sell to pop at 7.
Tax will have to be crippled so it is less profitable than Guard.
Agri will have to be on par with Aminer or possibly Maru if one wanted to choose self sustainability with a U. Fert.
Perhaps their ships have higher upkeep, are capturable to coll and viral, REable to viral, and a kitbash between T class and A/M class. A happy harmony between Terran and Miner ships lol
Since theyre Bankers, the class of ship is B class, named for financial stuff...
Lastly, they need a planet they utilize best.. barrens obviously and land dependent, but their best U class could be the Large with a commerse boost added to it.. that may benefit all races who possess larges too. OR add a new U class.

-100 pop growth
-100 mining efficiency
-50 to agri
Ore range 50 - 500 ( 600 paid )

This would be smart not only because commercial is extremely underpowered, but ALL new players use this and i think its a good idea to give em something that can contend with economies like tax, and agri to start out with. |
