At the risk of exposing my noo b ness, I have a question:
How does a Viral empire get a Hercules Juggernaut?
Was it captured? Or can he build it?
Because it sure foiled my attack well enough. It was the only ship he had left, it was in his fourth stack, but its survival was enough for me to lose the battle.
Curious new cats want to know.... |

99+ day(s) ago | Collective race has always been my second choice behind guardian. But as error has wisely pointed out, they can be a pain on servers with lower player base. Your income is heavily dependent on the food prices. But thier ships are awesome. |

99+ day(s) ago | Hard to get borders sometimes... And food is pretty much their main if not only source of income. They do have +200% to plunder benefit, but again, lack of low PR players makes this difficult for some collectives. The plunder is mainly used to help jumpstart a fledgling new collective empire.
You CAN make $ by taxes...since your pop doubles and a 1000 land barren can equal a planet of 1000 or more depending on housing infra level. There`s a reason this race is Hard. |

If you are tax viral you wont make money unless food is at 12 or below (As far as i remember) Whereas miners can make money with food up to 32... Thats a massive disadvantage. You can go commercial then, but that will not make you rich by any means. |

99+ day(s) ago | As a viral you can reverse engineer 9 ships from other races and then build these as a viral. You can have 3 ships from terran, marauder and miner. But remember you can not reverse your decision, so once you have reversed your 9 ships you cant do it again. So pick you ships wisely.
Generally speaking herc is a good choice from terran. Also remember to pick pike and pyth from marauder. |
