I remember how you struggled with food prices at 2-4 for years. At that time you and Ragnarok were the two big food producers at fast. Two things happened during these 3-4 years at fast.
1. All food producers but yours restarted to something else.
2. Your production became big enough to supply the whole server alone.
Noone want to restart as food producer as long as your empire could control the price of food so dominantly. And i guess this was key to the succes. And i guess having a few tax`ers as close allies that could make sure a significant part if your food was eaten also added to the efficiency of this setup.
I think people start to realize just how empty the food market is without your production.
The reason for blowing up our old empires is not to leave the server but to make room for the people that has been kept down for a long time.
People will have to stay a little patient. Food producers will be there again in not so long. In the meantime disband pop and go hunt each other at low PR :)

99+ day(s) ago | When I first posted the initial UW Report, I sent a message to MastaKilla stating that I would be sitting this (his) UW out, as I was in Debt (5.5 Bill) from fighting the previous UW.
What did MastaKilla do?
He saved my Bacon !! Before his UW completed, He used his stash of Arties to reduce my credits, thereby lowering my debt a very manageable level!! Then, when the UW went off, that was reduced by another 90 perecnt.
So, Many Thanks MastaKilla - I`ve never been more overwhelmed by an opponent`s generosity !!!! |

99+ day(s) ago | Well well, this was the end of my first GC empire, my baby terran. Created because the Eden alliance was struggeling, Africa got Pete and I to play GC. Since the tables turned I spend most of my turns digging, but about a year ago I had maxed BTC, Hist, MDs, rares, so I started researching. Ended up with 150 agri, 9 housing and 5 commercial (for missions). With 500k land that made me 11,5mil food a turn, which was why food has been abundant at fast for some years now... lets see who pick up the task of feeding the server now :)
At most I had 1321 planets... but plundered 2 dead event c3s. My clusters werent great, but a few decent in between, the 100k one I got from Enki some years back.

Setting it off I thought I was at Loktar instead of Hektar, so the extra 450 turns with 500mil upkeep only worked because Niceguy and Fortythree bought some minerals, so thanks a lot guys! I spend 70 BTCs myself on the fleet and the last 180 + 130 fused after activation were donated to the lucky ones online at the right time.
I will stick around, but I agree with Ren, this empire was a bit OP, especially in combination with Petes viral before he blew it up. Cya out there! |
