I enjoy GC and its community very much! Several people asked and I agreed to close the thread on Normal.

I think its all value add in my mind of the relationships you build outside of the game more that within the game, as the ole addage goes for gamers, no game lasts forever sooner or later, Ste will have these servers go down. The question is when. |

99+ day(s) ago | Well UFP is a pretty ancient fed with a history almost as long as GC itself, and is the 3rd oldest fed in GC in existence overall if Fed IDs are anything to go by (only the random mob and MK have lower numbers I think). If there was a 1st time, it was before I helped revitalize the UFP. I only remember when I first joined, when Rubber{}Nation at some point in UFP history anaboliked the fed (without actually disbanding it) for some reason and then that sort of shook everything up. This was back in the day when getting a federation full up to 21 people was very easy to do, and kicking people more than 7-14 days inactive was a normal routine.
But indeed time will tell. |

99+ day(s) ago | Well, in all honesty Rag, this would be the second time UFP has been decepted of an UW on Normal. Also, deception used to be a fun part of the game all part of the anaboliking and spies, which I do miss at times :(.
I think the gambit will be accomplished again at some time in the future, only time will tell again considering deception UW`s have happend a handful of times on multiple servers over the years. |

99+ day(s) ago | The real truth is, the wingnut UW was sponsored by both UFP and Rascals, with the UFP getting the raw end of that deal. After all, we never opposed it. If we were clued into wing`s true intentions, then we would have naturally booted him out and took him down.
The only thing clever about the UW was the deception, which only worked because of wingnut`s association with Grantweep/fuzzy after the MOB split up and then grantweep/fuzzy quit the game. But the rascals did nothing but simply not oppose the UW.
I sincerely doubt that this gambit can be accomplished again however. Not without the future mole having to sacrifice a significant number of real BTC and historia to support a future successful UW. After all, it`s rather pointless having a mole join an enemy fed to do another sneak UW if they have to end up sacrificing BTC supporting a future UW with the fed. |

99+ day(s) ago | I dont really play anymore for now, but I check in here and there and saw what happened. I`m not sure how it`s even "legal" to start UW from one fed then leave at least minute and set it off in another, but it`s definitely not something I`d be using to brag how quick a new fed UW`d. I get the cleverness and sneakiness of it, that part I`m sure was fun, but it`s not really a new fed getting strong enough to UW.

99+ day(s) ago | Regarding Historia VM - getting that for 6 months, it was severely bugged at times, sometimes it wouldn`t let you put yourself in VM because it already thought you were in VM. Then there were times when you BTC`d out of it you seen in the system in VM and can`t use turns to populate a planet or use your market until the server refreshed 5 mins later.
I think I still have the logs of pages of historias hititng a few people on fast during the whole Historia wars, yes Wars. It made GCloansharks arti attacks look alot less of a pain. |

99+ day(s) ago | Mmm.. Normally i don`t bother commenting on threads.. but Hist VM & VM are the same thing to the system, and by that i mean they work the exact same the only difference is length of time.
While Hist VM is technically a bug.. being able to use artifacts from it would also be a bug seeing as the point `Hist VM` is triggered the system will fully register you as in VM until the time ticks below the threshold for it. |

Interesting, so at some point, Ste changed it so you can use artifacts while in Historia`d VM.
@ Pete - Rag used to be entirely correct. Anyone from 03-08+ will tell you, Hist VM used to remove your ability to use your own artifacts. This is a recent development and one Stephen did without ever notifying staff. The market restriction to Hist VM is still in place though 0_0.

99+ day(s) ago | Is that so.....normally when you`re in VM you can`t use artifacts. Never figured that a hist induced VM would be different. I`ve never been given the hist induced VM treatment myself, but I suppose you`d have plenty of xp with that. ;) |
