Is this not meant to be a war game?
A game of building up and taking from others?
Is one of the best parts of the game when you hit an enemy take all his planets and kill his empire? (the older the better)
I think its time we get rid of a rule or alter it for the better, i am sick of stalking my prey setting them up for the kill and then they get VM or 1500 protection.
Now we cant do anything about VM as there are legitimate reasons to VM and you cant prove there abusing it but we can do something about 1500 protection.
its not fair that someone goes inactive for what ever reason and you attack them, get them down to one more hit to kill them or take there clusters and then a fed mate puts or gets them put in 1500 protection to save them from the kill. This has happened again yesterday in ULTRA and i think its time we put a stop to it.
So do you think we should get rid of it other than after a UW or change it in some way?
Any suggestions welcome. |

Dude how come you VM when i got 2 counters on you on FAST :P i was about to steal your clusters... wheres the honor on that?
and yeah theres a lot of dirty players in FAST... VM to escape counters, VM build, SB scouts... someday i will stoop to their level lol. |

Check my pr its 12mil and i didnt build out of dp before i vmed nor did i build sb. Ask Masterkiller for my stack and pr before his attack on me and do the calculations.
You dont have to believe me as your obviously deluded. I did not check who was above me b4 i vmed nor did i know you still had a counter. I have 2 borders so if you took 3 you would have got something nice but i doubt you would have got more than 1 if any and thats w/o me building anything.
I had max turns, 220 lictor = 18,155,940 plus my 12mil takes me over 30mil w/o btc or stc.
Anyway i will make you feel better about yourself and collude in your delusions.

99+ day(s) ago | FOUNDERS you knew you were going to VM. I was around 30x your pwr and waiting to take 3 cols from you. and you knew this. I really doubt you would of spammed the necessary BTCs to climb from base pwr to above 33mil PWR.
it`s very convenient that you VM moments before I hit you while you have no borders.
you`re not even honorable enough to admit you chose a cowardly strategy to avoid losing? it`s all too obvious. and I don`t know why you`re denying it, it`s not a big deal anyway. lots of people do this.

99+ day(s) ago | On ultra i have lost several c3`s due to not vming to protect them and it is not a problem. I lost 1 a couple days ago and as soon as i took the guy down who took it off me he vmed and thus i lost my chance to get the c3 back plus i had 6 counters on him, hence why i believe he vmed to save all his planets as i would have sat up high for days countering him untill i took them off him. He may have a legit reason for vming i dont know as i dont know his life. I have no problem losing clusters in fair battle but not if i unable to defend myself due to work or holiday.
If you read my Title my complaint is about someone being inactive and someone else 1500 protecting them. To my knowledge no one has ever 15500 protected me hence why when i go inactive due to work and dont vm i lose all my clusters. Yet i am still here and have not quit completely just rt for now. |

1 - When i made this post i had no idea i was going to vm on fast.
2 - You had 2 counters on me, 1 of which you already used for 1 planet and the other i would doubt you would get anything as i had max turns and could have got borders if i were at home.
3 - I dont know if you are based in the UK but if you are then you may have experience with 3 mobile coverage and motorway services.
4 - I am a HGV driver i sart work anytime from 3am - 8am depending on what route im given on a daily basis. I dont find out what time or where or how long till the evening before. I work anything from 6hrs to 15hrs a day with drive time anywhere between 3-10hrs i also do nights out.
5 - On the day i vmed i didnt plan to, i was on a night out, i had a break on a services i logged in but my reception and internet kept cutting out so i decided it was best that i vmed as i didnt have much of a chance to play with such bad connection that kept timing out. It took me 10mins to vm with it timing out and having to re try it. It was a good job i did too as i ended up having 2 back to back nights out as i ran out of time on friday even though saturday was my day off. I went to work thursday at 3am and got home saturday at 5am.
Most weeks i work 55 - 60 hrs a week and have 1-2 nights out.
RT took too much attention even with me being explorable and people can vouch that over the last year i have lost multiple 20+k c2s and hence i have stayed in NP since the last time i lost everything as time to time i get inactive.
Over the last week or 2 i have given out many counters on fast mainly to Drac and Blackadder but to many others too as i wanted to keep my clusters and i only had 1 night out during that time and didnt feel the need to vm as i just let them counter me 2 days in a row and got borders on the 3rd. I dont vm on the slower servers as i dont need to as they are not as active as fast or r |

99+ day(s) ago | ive been "cheated" out of my efforts at least a dozen times on this game because of VM...there are players who i have never been able to counter EVER. there r players who i have sat and waited on only for something flukey to happen at the last second (i wont bother to elaborate but im sure others have experienced similar situations). it`s really lame. but what can you do? it takes some of the fun out of this game imo. one thing that would change things drastically is that every counter someone has on another player should freeze while they are in VM. in other words if player X has 8 counters on me and i decide to VM for whatever reason, when i decide to come back those counters shoud still be there as if i had never VM`d. if there are 3 days until they expire when i VM, there should be 3 days left when i come back. i think it is undeniable that this is the only fair way for things to work. |

hmm, abusing the feature which he`s [pretending to] complain about on the forums, interesting play on things FOUNDERS.
I can say with confidence the only reason he made this post was to throw off the trail of him being a player who does this regularly.

But you get better as you play the game. The most precious thing in this game is finding 5-8 people who work really well together and all get good and powerful at the same time. :) |

I was told by a few old timers, whilst discussing this and similar `strategies`... "It`s just part of the game. As long as you stay within the [currently standing] rules, use whatever tools you can to win. Even if it`s low, or cowardly, if it works you should use it."

99+ day(s) ago | Meh, it doesn`t pay to question the universe or complain about it. Better to exploit and adapt to what you`re given.....as long as it`s within written guidelines of course. Hence, if you see someone going inactive in the fed and they are no longer in vm, do them a favor and have the account frozen before people realize the juicy target and hunt their empire down for clusters.
Wouldn`t be an issue if the game had 200-5000 active players, but unfortunately we don`t, so we try to keep the players we got. |

99+ day(s) ago | I see your point Founders and I`m glad you brought it up. Please know that it is carefully considered before anyone is allowed to be placed in special DP. Only after 3 days inactivity can someone request via Admin to have another players account frozen at 1500 PR. Also battle logs and overall activity are looked at but all in all their isn`t much that can be done unless The Admins decide to alter the 3 day rule. Abusing VM isn`t tolerated in GC but its very difficult to prove otherwise.
Very sorry your hunt didn`t go as planned and I hope you have better luck next time. |
