Okay ive gotten an earth model, mars(berran) model, will get a forest planet model using custom earth maps that ill make. Ive also gotten hand of a good software for the 3d models :D. I have nothing put together so to speak, but im working on it(full time job and all), i have the login stuff working, but im just wondering where i need to head in a bit after that. Perhaps Ship modeling soon. Here is a sample of my work and if you want to support me you can buy these models that will soon be used for our gc clone. Estimated completion time now 6months at the very least.

99+ day(s) ago | just have the cam go around the planet instead of the planet (continents) rotating. you can leave the clouds and continents static at that point. PM me if you need cinema4d, rhino4d etc. advice.
Also, what Raist said on the semi- trans. sphere, good point! otherwise you have a marble ball not a planet. |

Damage protection will work the same. I think simulating actually battles will be something cool(always wanted to visualize flanking). |

99+ day(s) ago | So... I took a look at it. Not too bad for a first timer with graphics but here`s some constructive criticism.
Looks like you`re using a static image for the atmosphere, if you have it truly animated you`ll want to redo that as it`ll look silly with the clouds staying in the same shape the entire time.
Also looks like you aren`t using any type of photo-realism lighting, so the lighting on the 3d sphere you have makes it look like someone`s using a magnifying glass. i suggest adding in a third semi-transparent sphere with a slight illumination to simulate the atmosphere along with line diffusion.
The image applied to the sphere appears to be a bitmap, but it also appears to lack depth so you may want to look into setting up a procedural texturing to add in some depth to make it more realistic.

99+ day(s) ago | Its going to be similar to GC. The reason why i said clone is, im trying to get the battle system and income system incorporated in it. BTW cane thats a 3D animated model. I said that why not make GC a 3D Game instead of txt based.

if you`re making a completely new game it`s going to take a lot more than planet surface images..
& what would be the purpose of buying your graphics/models? I`m not 100% sure but it looks like it says it`s $100 and I could easily google "planet images" and get thousands of similar results from google.. |

99+ day(s) ago | My work would be done a little faster if i can get green yedi to help me, or give me his source for his simulator. Its okay though i can work without, perhaps some people here in gc can aid me with that, i suck at coding. C+ or javascript is needed. |
