As i just previously asked about special colony`s
I`ve now encountered explored colony`s and I haven`t got a clue, is it because they have been fully excavated?
I realize if I keep posting asking what are all these different planet types so is there a thread already explaining this or can someone preemptively explain the different types to me.

As EE said you can study various in game new player material under "new player" and also on your main empire screen click on "manual" up top for planet descriptions, race info, research, and other things like technology. |

There is actually a game manual that has these different classes included.

That gives you info on what type it is, what its good for, and how fast your population grows. |
