I know that on Normal and Server the Guardian race is a bit of an endangered race.
I was thinking, as a reward for going guardian, if a guard is either does the most damage to a UW that fails, or they complete all the missions, they should get a UW ship of their choice as a reward.
I think that would be a huge incentive for guard, and compensate for the fact that they can`t win the ships by doing a UW themselves. |

wolf359 99+ day(s) ago | Perhaps the UW reward in TB should be an assortment of arties or at least a bunch of arties of your choosing. Then perhaps the "gordo" cluster can exist.
What would guards need with UW ships? they have deadly ships as it is. For ship rewards, maybe completing all the missions should drop K class down to 15k turns or something.
What do i know? Im RT...and collective who never played guard for more than a day. But i do pay attention to most guard related threads |

Ragnarok 99+ day(s) ago | Exactly. Stop living in your RT server world for one moment and try playing Normal server before making comments. I speak exclusively from a turn-based perspective. You will then know the pain of being a new guard on a server like slow or normal, where super-sized gordo clusters can never exist. |

Ragnarok 99+ day(s) ago | I agree that there is no reason guard should take an ungodly amount of turns just to get started. It makes it take longer to get to the fun part, fighting and battles, which is what really makes people interested. |
EphemeralEternity 99+ day(s) ago | Guards are more balanced on TB server, because unlike rt gordo`s aren`t nearly as prolific so to get land they generally have to get clusters and that means being unexplorable and having a high base pr just like every one else with the only difference being the Guards still retain that ridiculous turn efficiency of their ships which is more painfully obvious to non capitals spamming empires who fight guards on TB servers.
The only reason why there aren`t more guards is due to the slow start up, which may be changed in the near future, i`m not about to hand out pity prizes to them for doing damage during a UW, or for completing missions If anyone who`s a guard cared at all about UW rewards they should have realized that they picked the wrong race to begin with. and i highly doubt any preUW reward empires who are guards on TB atm would want to sacrifice all that research land and everything else just for some more ships anyhow or they would have already restarted to a race that could UW.

wolf359 99+ day(s) ago | while yall are at it, make the collectives on rt be able to actually use a captured cluster. all we get to do with them is pop em up and plunder. and thats not cost effective. we cant mine them or use for agri. its not really worth catching them unless youre a start up. |
