So I play/played GC when doing other things. I play Eve quite a bit and GC is a perfect distraction when waiting to form up a gang, doing a long warp or something else which takes a long time. A few clicks here and there is all it takes (sometimes).
Obviously, u cant advertise on the Eve forums, but there are a lot of community pages lige Failheap challenge, where people go to post Eve related stuff, but also just to hang out and talk about all kinds of non-eve stuff. To basically hang out, while waiting to form a gang etc etc..
Eve is about spaceships, this is about spaceship and I actually think that the player base of that specific game would be highly receptive to a game like GC cause it fits in so nicely when playing Eve.
Also, the fact that you can loose your stuff in GC is something which would appeal to the player base.
I will try to see if I can promote the game there a bit. If anyone else is also visiting community sites like failheap challenge let me know. Maybe we can coordinate a promotion.

This is why it wont work, with multi accounts being approved it will increase the work load on the staff 200% to keep up with all the possible market transferes, planet trading, and other unfair advantages they will have to search for in empire logs.
Empire A market transfers to empire B thats a week old so the player can use both accounts to climb. This would be an unfair advantage. As well as double artis, planet transfering, scouting. Also new multi feds could be formed using fed war as another unfair advantage.
At that point from a staff members perspective im not coming into work that day its to much hassle not to mention unfair game play and would discourage new players.
I would like to see some new staff members appointed (old ones are doing fine) to perhaps assist with in game mini events, logging on an npc account, running a dm and so forth. I know that current staff are busy in rl but their are trustworthy players with the time to spare that are willing to help. |
