i know on rt its a good idea to look for 900 or 950 barrens , but on ultra and fast is it better to go or 800 barrens or lower? |

99+ day(s) ago | Yep.. the way it works at fast and ultra is that you should keep 800land and lower. If you find a 950+land barren you need to plunder it! :P
I guess what you ask for is whether its worth the effort to go for high land barrens. Short answer is yes. You should not keep anything below 950land. (Unless you dont plan on keeping your empire for very long.)
The most turnefficeint way to explore planets at TB servers is to do while you research your infra. Explore and cluster and loose the colonies. You dont want to use your turns plundering if you can avoid it. Leave DP as often as possible with something you are sure will make you loose 3 cols. The first planet in each C1 it may be worth going for a 1k+ barren, since its a lot easier when you can cluster to get rid of the planets again.
This will take a while, but it also takes some time to get the infra to lvl 100... |
