Well as many of you know we suspended UW ship rewards for some time our solution for now is to create three different ships for those who set off UW`s the UW.Class basically from this point on when ever someone sets off a UW they will get one ship from this class, If they set off another UW as a different race they will gain another ship from the list, and if they set off a third from a race they haven`t UW`d from they will gain the last and final ship in the class,
There is more to this post (i ran out of room) look back it`s the first reply and make sure you read it all before posting because i may answer some of your questions down there.
UW. Eins Cruiser

This would be the first ship received by everyone, Duel Damage and two positive shield mods.

This would the the ship reward for 3 UW`s all 4 damage types and 4 positive shields as such the hull is kept low and it lacks no retal and no defense
All ships have fairly expensive upkeep in comparison to the race because each one of these ships are fairly spamable for some of the races the high upkeep was compensated by a lower mineral cost.

99+ day(s) ago | I bring it up cuz I don`t want people to think I`m not seeing the bright side of all of this, or simply whining about losing Galleon without compensation. And no, this is no conspiracy cuz there was no coordination with guides to help a specific guild.
As a matter of course, MK will lose a lot of their power because all the ships they got from their UWs will go away, which evens the playing field if folks on slow actually choose to play. >_< |

This way of doing things only helps the situation on Normal server for UFP because fuzzy, lord, Drunkenmasters, Grantweep, myself and maybe possibly ultra are the only ones who have UWed since the UW rewards came out. Out of those 6 players, two have since gone inactive (Lord and Ultra).
So, please, go ahead and take away Fuzzy`s and Drunkenmaster`s UW ships. Between those two they have 4 carryover ships. Oh, and UFP still gets the ONLY "empire" on NORMAL SERVER to have a UW ship. |

There are two main flaws with what they are saying. First, their claim that this is a "whole new system" is not perceived that way because folks see this as mostly a modification of an existing system (only the ships have changed, other rewards remain as-is).
Secondly, they claim that they can`t keep up with the list. However, they still have a list of people who they KNOW still have the ships. They don`t HAVE to give out the ships to everyone who ever UWed, just those who still retain their ships since they have to MANUALLY go into the account and make the changes. If I let my account go inactive, which means you lose all arties, planets and ships, then I deserve to lose my rewards.
They make the excuse of "well what if someone makes an account with the same name as the UW person (who doesn`t play anymore) in an effort to trick admins? How would we know?" And the answer is that if you have a UW ship, then you in fact did the UW.
So I leave you the below quotes:
"the plan and simple reason i am going to deny giving past winners these ships is because its much easier to keep up with the new list starting now with the new rules as they are now."
"it`s easier to keep up with restarting the count now, and with the new rule of forcing people to UW from three different races.. "
"Also the past winners list is now incomplete and alot of those people who have UW`d have quit and some have come back...but nothing would stop a person from starting an account using an old name from the list and claiming they were that person and demanding the rewards. we`d have no proof that they weren`t who they said they were. and it`s not fair to only give the rewards to those we`re 100% sure about who they are. " |

Again, staff is only taking the stance of "we`re going to go into your accounts and take away your UW ships, but will not replace with the new, more appropriate ship because it`s "too much work" and we just don`t want to anyways for no reason and you should be happy because you get to keep it one more year" because the backlash is relatively small (only the people who only UWed). I wonder what would have happened if it was 75% of the players here.........
Anyways, they have a year to think about finding a better solution to simply taking away ships without some kind of compensation. |

99+ day(s) ago | Sibi I agree with you that old UW rewards were overpowered, but taking them away and not giving them anything worthwhile is a slap in the face for the hard work (and risk) they took.
I should point out that I am not one of the UW-reward empires, I am just saying what is fair :) |
