WolfHaley 99+ day(s) ago | O.o let`s play the market game ^_^ |
Apollo 99+ day(s) ago | it turns out, the market you thought you were selling to, was yourself |
Raistilin 99+ day(s) ago | First rule of Market Club is you don`t talk about Market Club. |
Renegade 99+ day(s) ago | It`s not that staff wants this to be legal, Sibi, It`s that they cannot do anything about it without unfairly punishing people.

PistolPete 99+ day(s) ago | We never had it as a strategy in EoE to fund UWs like that, and i would be against it anytime despite the admins telling its ok. I`ve later realized how much cash flew between Fuzzy and Grantweep - but I guess this is not something that goes for the fast server alone. The rest of the UWs we did I believe this has not been done at all. |
Sibiriangun 99+ day(s) ago | Thats right Rag
And it doesnt matter how much staff look into it, it has been stated several times that credit transfer is ONLY against the rules if it happens between the same two empires. How do you think the eden alliance funded so many UWs on fast...
On RT its probably not too big a deal, but on TB its extremely easy to transfer huge amounts of cash in a legitimate way, and it doesnt look like the rules will be changed. |
Ragnarok 99+ day(s) ago | "You sell something to another empire cheaply. The other empire puts the same stuff at the market at a higher price and you buy it back."
In that case, throwing a 3rd empire into the mix would make the cheating undetectable. Example: Empire A sells 1 million minerals at 500, Empire B snags it and reposts it at 800. Empire C, and maybe D and E who happen to be in the fed then buy it up. They then repost again at the max and Empire A buys it. This process happens over a period of 4 days.
In such a scenario, an admin looking over the transactions wouldn`t immediately see anything fishy, even if someone reported it. Only someone looking closely at this complex pattern of dealings over a period of several weeks, and looked at fed affiliations may notice something.f But if the transfer isn`t blatant, it would, again, probably be glossed over.
If the money launderers are able to obscure their intent and no one reports it going on, no one would ever be the wiser! |
RedRanger 99+ day(s) ago | yeah max wont happen, thats my normal account Lol no one ever buys at max on tb let alone normal. but thanks for the answers :) |
Charmander 99+ day(s) ago | Its not ilegal. People sell minerals to each other all the time. This is what happens at every UW too.
But I would sell the minerals at max price if I were you.
It has been stated by the admins several times that the only way you can do something you will be punished for at the market is if:
You sell something to another empire cheaply. The other empire puts the same stuff at the market at a higher price and you buy it back. |
Apollo 99+ day(s) ago | its only a transfer if the batch he buys gets reposted @ 1000$ then you buy it so he gets a net profit out of the deal |
