  Agri Guardian

Before you all start calling me nub plz read:P

Infra lvl: 0 on all
World: Balanced (+0 to agri)

Infra build:
Housing > 40
Agri > 40

Income:
tax > 160
tax -85% > 24
food > 20
food -95% > 1

With food prices of 24 this means that food and tax would be the same.
Conclusion: Tax is better for guard!

But hold your horses! This was on a planet with +0 on agri!!!

So here is my point:
Forest: +100 agri

Infra build:
Housing > 40
Agri > 40

Income:
tax > 160
tax -85% > 24
food > 20
food -95% > 2

Resulting in food prices @12 for tax and food to be the same amount of money made

U.Fertile: +250 agri

Infra build:
Housing > 40
Agri > 40

Income:
tax > 160
tax -85% > 24
food > 70
food -95% > 3.5

Resulting in food prices @7 to tax and food to be the same amount of income.

So now I hope you see my point in that a Guard would probally be better off doing agri on a big behind U.Fertile. Besides that you would also gain tax from the pop needed to make agri infra and when you do missions after getting 1-3 Fertiles you get them at high loyalty aswell for even a higher (little) boost to income.

If someone sees that I made a mistake plz say so, I`m not a god:P

P.S I don`t got maxed out loyalty so if someone does, please give me the vanilla tax for 40 population so I can re-do the math.

Strip mining is awesome for any race (cept Collective unless they get lucky) because its an excellent way to build cash reserves fast can cheap. Ore is ALWAYS in demand and always sells for top $.

If youre a low pr guard wanting to stay that way, ore is the best way to do this since your tax profits wont be effective till you`re around 100k land.

IF you have to be agri, then you better have a massive stash of gordos because the only way you can do this effectively is lots and lots of land on a fertile. Which, based on your agri yields of -85%, means that your fertile (in my previous comment) is only 155% effective. Its gonna cut your food down by alot.

200k land like this will grant you around 7.5 million foods per turn. I think. I dont feel like crunching the numbers but you`d do better on strip-mining. Especially since the prices of food on the market are always in a constant state of flux.

YaY! More of the same topics supported by the same math that`s proven it more or less on thousands of prior threads...

+155% agri on fert for guards... Gordo the sonovabich!
Tax tax tax tax tax TAX and LOYALTY

I can`t directly contest your math, all I can do is say that I`ve calculated out the amount of money made by each income type before, here`s the results. Agri guard doesn`t do well, I suppose if food was higher, and if the land was all on a fertile you might be doing much better, but that`s true of any income type where you find a giant land mass that appeals to your income path

Net Income with 50k land and 100 Infra and 5k loyalty and food at 10. WITH cgs

Terran (com) = 2,562,500
Terran (agri) = 7,215,500
Miner (tax) = 16,460,000
Miner (Min) = 9,717,500
Miner (cgs) = 6,042,500
Marauder (plunder) = 467,833,333 (each turn for the 10 turns required to plunder 2 25k c2s)
Marauder (agri) = 3,227,250
Marauder (cgs) = 905,250
Guardian (agri) = 298,200 (2500 loyalty)
Guardian (tax) = 843,500 (2500 loyalty)
Collective (plunder) = 555,628,000 (each turn for the 10 turns required to plunder 2 25k c.3s)(yes I know those are big)
Collective (agri) = 7,312,500
Viral (tax) = 5,525,000
Viral (com) = 1,807,500
Viral (agri) = 3,097,200

If you want to fight below 4 mil PR, strip mining would probably be best for a guard, actually.

PistolPete, yeah seeing the low player count of GC these days I think that Agri would be a great income style for peeps who wann fight below 4 mill and hit the people below 500k aswell.
If you take in loyalty (wich I didn`t) you probally get better income with tax, but so goes for terran, miner, viral, except that guard don`t have to buy food (but they get -85% tax to overoverovercompensate that fact).

I dont remember the exact calculations - but i did something similar a while ago. My conclusion back then was that you would never have something as good as tax, but you can have a decent income this way.

The main reason for going agri should be the very low base PR.

I dont think you considered loyalty. Agri guards suck, even if food is high has been my past experience

Compare an agri c2 and a tax c2 with at least 1k loyalty (tax formula us in exule`s guide). I`d compare myself but am on my phone :p

That said, getting a fert large enough is impossible unless u happen to live in the right timezone to dig, pay for gordo`s, or get real lucky and steal one
