Renegade Game-Admin 99+ day(s) ago | In your dreams, perhaps it is. |
black 99+ day(s) ago | 25 is a very reasonable price for food. |
ChoriChori 99+ day(s) ago | Well if you posted your food low enough it wouldn`t be returned. |
black 99+ day(s) ago | I`m all for someone buying out the food market right now . . . otherwise all my food is getting returned. get on that backoff |
CaptainPicard 99+ day(s) ago | As a food producer I`m glad that people buy food, but it all goes in cycles, and there are times when no one is buying food and the price drops to $3-$4. Right now the swings between high and low seem quicker, but if you are only buying enough food for a short time, then it is more a problem as a food buyer`s strategy. Learn to anticipate the cycle and you can function as a food prices vary and as availability varies. I`ve played as a market independent empire for most of my time playing and I much prefer being a food producer than any other type. And I know that may change as consumption patters change. It is part of the reality of playing when scarcity of resources is always a reality, whether in a game or in RL. |
GradualIncline 99+ day(s) ago | from an income standpoint, market independent is the worst way to earn credits. Trust me, I made my empire that way from the get go. Right now I`m earning 12m credits a turn, 14 if you count the extra CGs I`m making. When I`m tax I make 40m a turn, and that`s after paying for food and CGs. If I were all tax infra, instead of spread out over everything but tax, I`d make double, call it 70-90m a turn as tax. Balanced never earns as much. The only thing it gives you is the ability to laugh at those empires that try to drive up food prices to the point others can`t play....Actually, when I put it that way, I don`t feel so bad about being market independent :P Nertz to the market, I`ma go get on the richest empires again list the slow way without spreading any of the wealth to greedy empires driving up food prices. |
WhatIsTheMatrix 99+ day(s) ago | market independent is the best way to be... then you can make your logical profits. I kinda helped push food up higher... i sowwy :( |
AshyLarry 99+ day(s) ago | Reaper, I don`t care about buying and reposting. When I created this, someone had just cleared the food market and didn`t repost. reposting is fine because the food isn`t destroyed. I had to quit tax viral because food went from $5/unit to $22. Then I went tax a.miner but someone bought out food so I couldn`t use turns.
so now I am market independent. |
StormofBladeZ 99+ day(s) ago | Becauz IM A BAWWSSS |
Reaper 99+ day(s) ago | The food production is not so high. There are people who are posting at 15 or 20, but then other food producers, or people who want to make a logical profit will repost it at higher. This is not an attitude that can be banned for, it is just playing the market, you can`t hate food producers to post their food at 20 when they see they can make a profit.
Demand of the good is high but the offer is low, thus the prices are high.
The contrary happened when the food production was higher than the demand, the food prices dropped to 4. Once the food producer will start making more the prices will go lower.
Atm i produce 18 mill per 45 turns. |
GalacticMercenaries 99+ day(s) ago | ash your tax i understand y your mad but the food producers will hurt there selves tus the tax will restart |
ChoriChori 99+ day(s) ago | And anyway...who still buys food? |
ChoriChori 99+ day(s) ago | And that won`t happen because the taxers have no money to buy cgs, and no turns to use to use them up. |
RedRanger 99+ day(s) ago | if you guys buy up cgs i can use the money to buy up food and post cheaper :P |
WhatIsTheMatrix 99+ day(s) ago | its business. it isnt personal...just business. |
