OK some of you may of seen me in chat doing a quiz at random times during the day with Regalo`s as rewards for correct answers. If you havn`t, turn on the game chat and keep an eye out, you can win a nice amount of ragalos if you know your GC stuff, or just some general knowledge stuff too.
Now you may be wondering what this post is about. Well pretty much I`m going to be stepping up the quizzes so that as many people can take part as possible. As well as having a higher viability, I`m going to be doing a monthly leaders board for the people that take part. It will restart at the end of every calendar month and I`m going to start it tonight. Now the top 5 people will get something nice so it pays to be active in the quizzes that take place.
Now what kind of questions are in the quiz?
Mainly GC related that can either be found out through playing a lot, the game manual or general GC history. There will be soem Sci-Fi stuff in there, science and other different ones.
When will they be set?
- I hope to do these at least 2 a day with 5-10 questions in each, possibly more questions depending on my mood and the actual turn out in chat. More people taking part...more questions which means possibly higher end of moth rankings.
Why am I doing this?
- Mainly for some community interaction and I enjoy seeing GC take over chat. It makes the UCers panic. Also it`s my round about way of allowing people that cannot be online for dig times to actually have a chance at getting artifacts. It`s not a perfect solution, but it is better than nothing.
What speeds are allowed to take part?
- ALL of GC is allowed to take part however due to how artifacts impact the slower servers, smaller rewards will be handed out there compared to RT for example. I don`t want to break a sever from this. Also there WILL be limits on how many regs you can get on the slower servers for balance reasons.
What will teh end of month prizes be?
- Now that would be telling. Compete for them and find out the hard way.
Now that that stuff is out of the way here is a few rules, which will be added to as time goes by and it appears we need more or I just forgot to write it out:
- If you win 2 times in quick succession, you will be asked to sit out of the next 1-2 questions to share the love. If you keep on taking part when asked to sit out, you will loose your winnings. Play fair and don`t be greedy.
- If you type an answer than change it to something else, the most recent answer is yours, even if the original one was right.
- General chat rules apply as would be expected. No questions will require you to bypass the filter or trigger it intentionally, some answers may trigger it due to the filter being a bit over zealous as we all know from experience.

99+ day(s) ago | As an update, we will be limiting the amount of regs that someone can win also due to some people being really smart and really quick winning quite a lot. If you get asked to sit out or get asked after you win to allocate to soemone else, please be understanding and share the love. We know you want to win the monthly prize, but amassing a large swag of regs isn`t fair on others wanting to take part.
I hope you all understand.
EDIT:
Another thing we are changing is when the rewards are handed out. Instead of after every quiz or a few hours after, it`s going to be on either Sunday or Mondays. This is just to make the handing out easier and cleaner. Also means less work for us cos we are lazy. No just kidding, but it just makes the `paperwork` cleaner and more manageable. So don`t stress out if you don`t get your stuff right away. It also makes it easier for us to enforce the limits, of rewards, for those that are either real fast or know a lot of the answers as opposed to piece meal.

99+ day(s) ago | - On occasion there will be an `allocation` question where the winner can allocate who gets the reward for that question. Anyone is able to be nominated as long as they have logged in in the past week and are not suspended/in VM. This is to make sure it goes to an active player, not someone in VM to hoard for when they decide to finally return.
I shall be updating this post with the leader board at the top as we start to progress.
Also as someone is bound to ask, the staff that host the quizzes do not gain anything from doing them except the, hopefully, thanks from fellow players and possible donations from the winners (hey...we are not about to refuse gifts!)
And finally, if you want to contribute to the Quiz with questions and answers send them to me (EvilAbadayos #240180 RT) and they will be used when we run out of our own, or just want to add a spin to the quiz. The only down side to submitting questions is that you obviously cannot take part in that part of the quiz for obvious reasons. You may however get a little something should the questions be used. Yes, I`m not above bribing for questions when I`m feeling lazy.
So there you have it. The Quiz will be hosted at RANDOM times during the day, the more people that take part teh more questions and thus the more possible rewards so spread the word, post on your fed boards and via MSN/Skype/Vent and Mumble.
