Hey guys, is it a good idea to pop up U.larges and then plunder them? The population growth is really slow, so I`m not sure if it`s worth it. Thanks! |

Unless he`s trying to point out that you can`t build Mining infra on Larges... In which case I`m still LOLing in incredulity. If you need to mine every time you capture something you`d like to pop up and plunder, you aren`t worth $hit as a plunder Maru in my book. Sloppy planning, that.

I understand perfectly well how ore works. You know, having played Maru for something like six years. And having been on GC for around eight. I simply fail to see the relevance to the discussion. Ore is necessary, whether it be a 1 land spaz, or 11,000 land Large you`re building infrastructure on. We all have that pretty well established... |

Yes you make your own food (I hope) but even if your using your own food, it could potentially be sold on the market at 1 under the market price, so it still has a cost to use.
For me personally, i just blew up larges as I got them, mainly to deny them from retals, but also due to the long as heck pop time, unless as Jammer said, there is no-one out and about with a counter or even around you to wack. |

99+ day(s) ago | It`s situational, if you`re out of targets for a while, as is so common these days, and you`re base is just 1-4 planets, and you CAN sit in NP and research, go for it, drop and research till the large is populated, it can`t hurt anything. But if there are a ton of people around for you to hit, just plunder it now, and take the gamble that perhaps something you get from one of the other targets will make your fighting worthwhile.
That`s just my opinion, of course. |
