kinda funny cuz i was telling in the defenders-skype-convo that there was some sweet thunder and lightning was goin on... and how i loved some muscle rolling by nature .. :D
half hour later, things went havoc :o
lightning fires, whole towns flooded with a meter of water, people drowning being stuck in their cars, electricity failures.... all in a span of half an hour...
never saw something like this before. the storm was very small in size, and hit only a small part of the country, but dang the damage it did :s |

i hate that some extreme wacked storm and floods called me to duty when the UW was only 20hours in.... but that`s part of beeing a firefighter :-/
gratz to the defenders... really impressive job! pretty wicked since some timezones were hardly covered ^^
also credit to the attackers, it`s been a close call :)

If I could do it all over again.... I would`ve changed the Thread name to something better sounding.... This one is daft.. |

99+ day(s) ago | Congrats Sadistic Interns....I could have killed it after Sumarian`s hit but was waved off as others wanted their shots on you and I was not going to wait another hr till 1:30 am my time to do it then. With the numbers we had when I logged off I thought the UW was over. What a surprise to see that it was still alive when I woke. I learned a valuable lesson. The NEXT time I can take the kill shot I will waive off ever more experienced empire and tell them to sit and watch. I truly thought it was as good as over when I logged off. Congrats. |

I can tell you that I`m very pleased to have managed to set this UW up at such short notice and for it to have been successful - but I am not naive enough to think that it would have finished without all the efforts of the supporters. So first things first, thank you to all that helped for taking the time and risking cash, minerals, arti`s and some potential RSI injuries..
To the competition, thank you for such a crazy ride - let me describe my UW experience to you:
-> First 12 hours - this is easy! Hahaha! -> Second 12 hours - whew, come on guys gimme a break -> Third 12 hours - this is over, i`m screwed, I hate this game =( --> Last 12 hours - I`m alive? But how? Build build, help guys!
There are 2 facts I must share - firstly, I accidentally started this UW.. Yep, I thought that when you finished researching the Loktar you wait 12 hours before you can choose to activate it. =S
Secondly; at no point did I enjoy the UW itself. It was fun building the initial fleet, and awesome watching it withstand tons of attacks but I hated not being able to fight and mess it up with everyone in the tug of war battle for supremacy in the ranks. And rebuilding ALL the time, is very boring and sucky and [insert another term for kak here] and something I`m so glad is now over..
Ok, I`ll post some fun stuff later - for now I`m going to get another 6-pack of beer and celebrate.. |
