The free for all thing was cool, but I was thinking... Over the course of a few months, we should have a few different events, for example terrans vs guards while virals fight marauders and then swap it up, make each race have a one on one with each other race, and then see who wins the most vs each individual races, or something like that.
It has potential, I think. |

99+ day(s) ago | The best event ever quarter backed by mara was this concept of race tournys. I was a maru at the time, best event ever with storyline and balance. Stacking was required and spamming was punished. Staff was involved and given npc empires to control. What a great event it was, nothings been close to as excellent as that event since. |

Again, THE UW DOESNT HAVE TO GO OFF! It can go for 3 weeks if defenders are that good or attackers are "lazy". |

99+ day(s) ago | Accord, that`s a good point. The UWs wouldn`t necessarily have to go off. In fact, we can keep the UW going until it is defeated entirely. So you would have UW conditions for an entire week if need be on RT server.
We could also have prizes for things like players who do the most damage to the UW, best defender of the UW in terms of # of players hit above a certain PR, etc.
And this would happen 6 times. :D |

As an alternative to the runoff UW idea, you can determine the winner by which one lost the least PR. |

I say do 6 NPC UWs by lucas using only ships of a specific race, and whichever one survives the longest. So Lucas might be terran first time, then Miner, then maru ships, guard ships (although at perhaps a decreased PR other than max PR), etc.
If two or more races somehow make it, there will be a runoff UW to determine the winner. :P
Incidentally, whichever race wins, let it benefit the other servers too so those of us who don`t really play RT can have a team to root for from the sidelines. ;)
To make it interesting, the prize to the winner could be a permanent minor increase in race stats or something (like +5% to collective food if they win, or +5% tax to guard if they win). |
