FISTFULLOFDOLLARS 99+ day(s) ago | /me votes for shattered dreams to be new Stephen |
Omegian 99+ day(s) ago | I could see new caps of mins of 500 mil to 1 bil, it would mean better planning on the RT side for some events. 50 mil some people can roll through that depending on the ship and how often they build/spam it.
I think the main issue about the mineral market is people who are mineral miners just aren`t wanting to sell for either fed reasons or other reasons. This is just one of those wait and see theories I have. |
ShatterdDreams 99+ day(s) ago | the real problem is the mineral cap. it`s way to high for every race, what does a guardian or a marauder need with 2 bil WC? or anything for that matter. mineral cap should be made about 50-250 mil depending on races and should only be able to be expanded through researching mining and would increase a % by whatever the mining infra lvl was
food and CG capacity should also be expanded for those who research agri and industry so they can store more and not have to post evey few turns
perhaps food and CG`s caps should also increase a little (not as much) for researching tax...i know some taxers out there who can go through max food and cgs in less than an hour of clicking..

AshyLarry 99+ day(s) ago | <moans> not another lame event
;p |
EvilAbadayos 99+ day(s) ago | that is a possible thing to do CeeLo, but really...would it be fun to be forced to invest a ton of turns to combat the KZ for a week or more? I know I found building for 3-4 days to get my fleet ready to hit the Guard NPC last month so boring I actually ended up restarting that near godmode empire cos I was sick of miner ships. Sure I`m an extreme case, people that know me well enough know I`m usually a chronic restarter (current empire is an exception not the rule).
We ALL hate NPC run UWs and feel cheated when they do go off and rightly so. They are not player run, generally not even Admin run, just a `fire and forget` fleet that gets wittled down over 48 hours.
Now if we actually have soem players going for actual valid UW attempts we may see minerals changing hands enmass cos no-one wants to loose 90% of everything they have worked for. If one does go off, generally the miners want to get their personal stocks sorted out first and will only sell 20-40 billion worth of minerals to get back to a more comfortable credit amount and then slowly add to it.
In short, NPC run UWs, successful or attempted, generally result in the player base hating the staff, who are fellow players themselves and volenteers (thus they/we don`t really have to do anything, we do stuff to make the game fun, or attempt to make it fun). Now if the player base embraced weird and wacky events without bing and moaning, we may do more stuff like this. As it stands however, we avoid NPC UW`s cos they are just not worth the hastle of `feeding the top feds colonies` and other pointless complaints.
I will try and hash out something with other staff maybe in the possible future that we may do in the possible future, but then again I may not. Read that and interprite however you want :D |
CeeLoGuardian 99+ day(s) ago | why not just keep doing KZ uws until one goes off.... kill off one KZ, next day anotherone shows up
***multiple wormholes detected throughout the galaxy, countless massive KalZul fleets have been spotted. United World Council disbands in terror.
Objective: Hold out against the KalZul blitzkrieg for as long as possible***
i figure a week maybe 2 of killing KZ UWs and we`ll be too poor to kill the last one hahah... or we give up and accept our fate with the 1st KZ that appears. |
FISTFULLOFDOLLARS 99+ day(s) ago | I was thinking because some players incomes are so huge and its been so long since a restart a bm 48 h9ur posting would be nice. The top 15 on the rich list are sitting at 980+ bil$. I know I was at 990 and wasn`t in the top ten lol that`s craziness. Where is valja? He knows what`s up. No ideas about changing a miner, you would need 4 min miners at over 100 infra research and 250+ planets and weeks of turns to put enough minerals in the market to satisfy the demand at this point. Black market please! |
EvilAbadayos 99+ day(s) ago | To be blunt, a KZ UW will fail horribly and for most of the bigger empires, they are sitting on max creds already so will not actually need to sell minerals to climb for decent hits. Those that do post minerals will be snapped up by the empires at max creds and the server will not change at all, besides a subtle shift in the distribution of the mineral stockpiles from 1 super rich empire, to another super rich empire. The UW wil be destroyed and then people will QQ about `boring event staff...do something better` so really...whats the point? |
AshyLarry 99+ day(s) ago | vote "YES" for kalzul uw |
Serperior 99+ day(s) ago | Hehe if you guys are so desperate for minerals =)
i think asking a staff to man a KalZul UW should also result in many empires selling much needed minerals
The 90% reduction after wards might cause people to keep selling minerals for a while too i suspect
I am not sure how this will affect the turn based servers since i never play them, i suspect not many will be capable to destroy a kalzul due to a low activity among those servers |
EvilAbadayos 99+ day(s) ago | BM is something that is to be avoided unless the game is DESPERATE for materials. As it stand we are far from desperate, just people are sitting at cred cap and need soemthingt o spend thier cash on.
I dont like using the BM to `fix` the problem, cos it just akes it worse |
grantweep 99+ day(s) ago | 1: BM`s don`t solve the problem. If you put in a BM, there will always be a shortage or whatever there was in the first place (mins etc)
2: BMs hurt mineral producers who are already established
3: BM results in a huge cash sink, making the game super boring. Since fighting should be the only way to waste cash. |
CeeLoGuardian 99+ day(s) ago | a while ago the BM would pop up once a week it seemed, never noticed the game mess up |
