Kay, hopefully this time will be the right timing for this thread. 3rd time`s a charm right? It finally looks as if the server is running low on food reserves.
So, I am going to continue wiping the food market, so if you are tax based you might as well restart now and convert to an agri race, especially if you are a tax viral. Or you could eat food at extravagant prices. Or you could stalk the market like a hawk and find cheap food when it shows up.
My empire is here to stay, and believe me....I can make profit with food being higher in price compared to you guys. Don`t believe me? Look up bonus income, then think about how much bonus income I`d be making with the amount of food I`m eating :)
Also: food producers of fast ->> please don`t get too greedy...I am willing to purchase food at higher than normal prices, but don`t tempt me. I can easily cut you all off, and food will go back to normal within weeks. Would you rather have 30+ prices, or normal (5-15) prices?

The prices hadn`t (in a stable fashion) been that low for longer than a year- Year and a half. So no, it most certainly hasn`t been "years". Additionally, the only potential lasting effect I see coming of this is a handful of less stubborn players (not me) switching to Agri, and the rest either de-popping or VMing. (Take a guess which I`ll be on the roster for.)
In the end, at best, you`ll have less demand and more supply, once again assuring rock bottom pricing. At worst? A pile of fed up fence sitters quitting the server due to some fool attempting to play a game of monopoly (Or is it some attempt at a humorous bit of reverse psychology?) with their empire`s dinner. And as we all know, the best possible thing to come to Fast, or GC in general, is the loss of more players.... |

99+ day(s) ago | Food eaters, might I suggest you all just depop and ride out the storm. It will soon pass and food will be back at rock bottom prices again.
If you are a food producer or consumer, you will only ever be able to play the game effectively half the time because half the time you will have unfavorable market conditions. Instead of restarting, just depop or freeze your empire or something and focus on building your advantage so that you will be that much further ahead when things swing the other way around. Dont be discouraged. Think LOOOONG term. |

99+ day(s) ago | It makes food producers super rich. I just want the market to be balanced, but it appears that I overshot my consumption goals. To bring you up to be uber, the fast market has been selling food @ prices close to 2-3 for the last few years prior to when I showed up.
Ideally, it would be great if food is at 8-10, but all these years of low food prices have spoiled the taxers on the server, and resulted in mostly huge empires supplying most of the food...which is never good since it leaves the market unstable. My MO is to get more smaller empires to churn out food, which should in the long run balance the server.
In the process some market profiteers may get rich, but oh well...:P |

No, by all means...get masta to post cheap food for you. But we are in the same fed, and we should be working together...what you seem to be implying is not very team oriented. |
