vehystrix 2011-06-12 | | Planet name mismatch? | | so I explore a planet like so:
You have discovered a new planet ! Name E.7034 Useable land 117 Available ore 0 Mineral Rutile Planet type Barren
I go to `manage colonies`, and see this:
E.7039 Border Colony Barren 4 10 50 115 117 0 Rutile
so the colony name got upgraded by 5 in the process... |

ShadowKing{Akoni} 99+ day(s) ago | i had planets with same name before they had the same number but 1 was a U large the other a barren |
EvilAbadayos 99+ day(s) ago | the worst I`ve ever seen was a few hundred difference.
It`s due to as Vendeen says, counted from all servers then numbered for your server. If you DO get one thats within 1 number, it means there is no-one else exploring at that time.
Odd as it will sound, you can get planets BELOW the number on the explored number ont eh explore screen, just very rare. This is what I call Stephen Math, usually a minor and inconciquencial bug...yes I know I spelt it wrong, sorry. |
Vendeen 99+ day(s) ago | The reason this happens is because the "You discovered a new planet!" number is accross all servers - Slow to RT, whereas the number you see in your "Manage Colonies" page is the number your current server is at (Slow only, RT only, etc.).
