Hey, I have a question that I used to know the answer to but have forgotten.
Pretty much if I do a mission that grants infra levels, will they count for the max of 254 levels or whatever teh cap is or will it allow you to exceed the researchable `cap`?
Also does it increase the turns required for your teck levels when under level 100 (before it hits the 2.5k turns/level)?
What I mean is if I was at level 20 housing and 5 industry as A Miner and did the mission that grants 5 mining levels, will, once I`ve finished level 20 housing, the next level count as 31 or level 26 for research turn requirments?
Any help would be great. |

was wrong. It used to be that way back in the day :) That or my account just glitched and I never got that reward, thank you BW for coming on msn to chat, good timing :P
Now #1 should read...
1. 255 is the max you can REASEARCH infra total, bonus infra does not count towards your total. |

254 is the max for one pure infra. unless you get that to 250 and 5 industry and THEN do missions my bad sorry. |

Mission infra doesn`t count towards the total on the cap. so if you get 5 levels of mining.. you could have a grand total of 260 infra counting 5 industry, and 255 mining (cap is 254 for one pure infra due to a bug, 255 for mixed.)
It also doesn`t effect your turns required. |

99+ day(s) ago | You can take the levels any time, the bonus levels don`t count towards the 255 max. They`re contained in a separate object in the code but still count as a normal infra level when used as income/housing modifiers.
You can take the two housing as terran and not pay 2500 per turn until 102 total, or take the 5 mining as miner and not pay 2500 `til 105 total. As you asked, having level 5 industry + 20 housing then taking the bonus levels will leave you paying for a total of 26, not 31.

99+ day(s) ago | i might be wrong coz it has been a very long time i`ve maxed my infras... but there was a possibility i`ve completed my extra level mission first b4 i maxed my infras...
coz i`ve planned to have 1 landsize for 20 population and i only researched housing until level 8 so my housing`s research is at level 10...
from there on, i only researched either comm or agri or ind until max...
but i think i still can recall that i can use turns for research above level 255 at that time... and it stopped at 257 then i got the maxed research warning/sign...
anyway, i could be wrong and i did my mission after i`ve maxed my infras... what do you expect? it was 6 yrs ago... lol... |

1. To go over the max infra limit, you need to complete research, then finish the infra granting missions.
2. If you do the infra granting missions at, say, level 10, then I believe(and this is where I may be wrong) that the turns required for the next level (it says 16) would only take level 11 number of turns. I think I recall it taking my Ultra account until level 105 to get up to 2500 turns per level anyway...But like I said, I could be wrong. |

you would have now a total of 30 levels of research
so your next level will count as 31 levels =) |
