SerpentofOld 99+ day(s) ago | Earthquakes make me think my bed is one of those fancy vibrating beds.. tornadoes make me think I need to buy a new home because my last one just got thrown into another house.
Hypothetical of course. Both have their highs and lows, but most earthquakes barely do damage.. it`s rare a tornado does little damage unless it hit`s in a field or something.
Unpredictability of a earthquake or high property damage of tornadoes is essentially what you have to decide between.
Let`s save natural disaster to what does it best, a super volcano. |
Brotherhood 99+ day(s) ago | ya but tornado`s are the one of the most destructive forces on this planet...i would rather have earthquakes than be hit by tornado...just me though i guess lol |
ear614 99+ day(s) ago | I have to sa earthquakes, becuase there are so unpredictable compared to a Tornado. Also earthequakes can happen anytime of the year and Tornados have a season that they hit the most and after that season it rare to get hit by one. |
MirrorUniverse 99+ day(s) ago | I`d say a earthquake is much scarier. In most cases people can be warned when conditions are ripe for a tornado, and they can be prepared. Near where I live there was a tornado that leveled a third of a small town recently, but the tornado was spotted before it hit and the warning system went off. So people had a few minutes to prepare and/or take shelter. No one was killed and there were three people treated for injuries I think. There is no warning when an earthquake hits, and you can`t get away from it if you experience one. :s |
ArchAng3l 99+ day(s) ago | Tornado Alley.. well it`s scary if it does damage... Good luck.. |
Deathroe 99+ day(s) ago | so - I live in an earthquake zone (pacific rim) and I am wondering what is worse:
Earthquakes or Tornados ???
Both seem awful :( |
WhatIsTheMatrix 99+ day(s) ago | Counter clockwise along with every other tornado above the equator. Coriolis effect... If wind currents permit however they may spin the other way.
Most of the time the warnings themselves are overrated. We get them in MS all the time and in fact we are under one as well.
We have a cold front moving through that will collide with an unstable warm air mass pushing north-north-eastward from the Gulf of Mexico. This will create the ideal condition for thunderstorm formation tonight and early tomorrow morning.
It has the POTENTIAL to be serious but it rarely gets that way. I guess im so used to b.s. like this ever since hurricane Katrine. SHE was a real b....yea. |
ear614 99+ day(s) ago | Its Counter-Clockwise. |
Deathroe 99+ day(s) ago | Half seriously, do the tornados in Oklahoma spin clock-wise or counter-clockwise ???????? |
AshyLarry 99+ day(s) ago | Ear, be the father of my children. please. |
