DrKsTGuArDiAn 2011-01-17 |  | mineral bot |  | Was wondering what everyones thoughts are on having a mineral bot on rt like we had for food, this way empires with empty stores can fill up and rich empires can work on maxing out if they wanted to. I can`t really think of any hard core downsides to this except for some empires trying to buy out everything but some are already doing this now so what`s the difference?
It would be nice to have random bot drops periodically in the market, I would volunteer my time to help in this regard.

introduce more features on how to use the extra income...
sometime, some players *cough* (like me) will gauge the their empires on how much money and minerals they can have... so let them be... find in the +ve ways for these empires to utilize better the excess of minerals rather than build ships only... perhaps make the fed`s features to include member can transfer their resources to others... IF not what`s the point of having fedmates?
there will be issues a young empire can rise quickly once he or she in the rich fed but, that`s the whole point having a fed... you don`t simply take any tom, x and harry into the fed... IF the young empire can become a good fighter, they can have the resources all they want as long they perform...
my ideas are radical... but rather lament on the -ve side, i`ll prefer to look in the +vfe side... |

maybe we should give terrans a +modifier to minerals, lol...to increase supply |

HoneyBucket{HH} 99+ day(s) ago | Valja, I don`t care if people are hiding money in minerals, except for the fact that the rich empires have a ton of minerals while the poorer empires can`t buy large amounts and never have any available on the market..... it wouldn`t be a problem if there were enough minerals to go around, but currently there are not. |
VALJA 99+ day(s) ago | who cares who`s hiding cash in minerals... rather suggesting on the -ve effects, go for +ve effects... make the extra money useful to buy something instead... perhaps introduce one big kahuna ship like a battlestar... it needs tons of minerals and a very high upkeep... and the ship is limited... though only a few empires that can afford to have it, but it will make sure they channel the money to the ship...
i wish to suggest of using the money on other things, but as usual, the rest of you will refer me to play UC... so... :P |

@HB: True, I wouldn`t support an increase in max cash. The alternate way to solve this is to simply make GD`s affect mineral stores as well, invent new artifacts that will target all resources, thus make `hiding` cash impossible. |

I think that would help a lot but at the same time it would take a piece of the game away, an important one, especially when it comes to stopping uw`s...... also you have the problem of empires, like old tax miners, that hit the max cash cap..... maybe we could increase the max cash to help with that?? I don`t know. |

What ever happens the change will be uncoded so our options are limited. Their are some both good and bad ideas. The possibility of market transfers to another server is very bad indeed. Maby a mineral purchase cap within a 48 hr period but im sure that`s code as well. |

Slavyzz 99+ day(s) ago | I think ships shouldn`t take minerals and their cost should increase by 1,000 per mineral needed. Also mineral miners receive 1,000 credits per mineral produced instead of minerals. This will eliminate a major feature of the game (thus we are staying consistent with fed voting, c5`s, positive attitudes etc.) and will make it less fun for all of us.
I`d also suggest that we get rid of different weapon types and shield mods (not to mention virals altogether) but I will wait for the first change to be implemented before continuing.
