It`s this time of month when I`m usually somewhat reflective that I`m not a mouse.
Y`know..the way things roll downhill...and the higher ups review the year end numbers? If they are good...nary a word is said.
When bad, it`s time to be glad one is not a mouse.
For bad year end numbers means the adage of the lower the step on the ladder..the more it comes down.
The merchant kicks the manager. The manager in turn kicks the clerk. Who then proceeds to kick the stock room boy...who kicks the dog. The dog in turn kicks the cat who goes out, finding a smaller cat to kick..which then roams the countryside looking for a mouse.
And thus..it`s always good not to be a mouse in the hierarchy. Or so goes my theory.... |
