So I was considering things lately what with the food market and bot crab - thinking on how in the past this was never necessary, the market would balance itself out.
I`ve noticed that VERY few people restart these days, and people are just sitting on empires, playing the same race forever. Almost no one I know has a new empire, and even looking at myself I`m over 400 days old. For the first 6 years of my playing gc I never had an empire over 150-200 days. It was very rare for me to get even that high, now I look and find myself at 400 =/
Somethings definitely changed around - with the exception of a UW no one restarts these days for the sake of playing another race :(

99+ day(s) ago | Tikimana, yeah, I don`t mind infra researching, but with your idea, I`d be over the max infra limit without ever researching :P Plus, as I`m sure everyone knows by now, I wouldn`t want to give up my arties :P
I restart every couple years :P not my empire mind you, but I`ve given away/not bothered to log on and lost, all my colonies down to my home world any number of times. Especially whenever the land maxes on planets were raised over the years. I did it when planet size increased over 850 on barrens, again when it upped to 950, then again when I started getting paids, and could get over 1k barrens, with a couple restarts inbetween of course. I`ve even done it with lightly gordoed C2s before. |

99+ day(s) ago | Not too shabby at all there Tiki, the oldest empires would end up with max infra again, but still lose their artifacts and planets.... some might be interested.... but if someone has been putting gordos into a planet for 2k+ days old I don`t think anything would entice them to restart. |

- in RT, i`m a 2418 days self-sufficient terran empire with max infras... (so do you all think i want to let it go everything now?)
- i never like UW, especially the idea to destroy everything after countless of hours to build something...
- i will start a UW only IF i can keep the infras, arties and planets...
- a force reset will definately a kiss goodby frm me...
so...
when i relate "stagnant" to my empire, it`s the feeling i`m having now after years in SFGC... how bad it is until i couldn`t be bothered to do my fav past time that is to dig and dig and dig and dig and dig and dig and dig...
i can say more... but nowadays, i just don`t care anymore... it`s pointless...
i wish you all the best in SFGC... perhaps it`s MY final leg...
and will i restart? nahhhhhhhh... i`m proud to be one of the empires with over 2k days in SFGC... that`s how i love this game until it betrayed the loyal players...

99+ day(s) ago | Valja u r farming since moths already and u r still there... Why should some of us restart? I was neva a fan of restarting like DP or ABA. Some of us put some major work/time/effort in their empires so why should it go down the drain in order to keep the server happy.
Some will restart some won`t it`s part of the game deal with it.... |

I miss my 120k c-3, 110k c-3, 600+ planets as Miner on Ultra, 770 planets as Viral, 400+ planets as Terran... mah
Woot now on RT i have an Icy , Oceanic and a Barren =-P
Oh and my first Terran empire, with 2 35k c-2`s, and 100k+ land of U larges in 10 planets *sigh
*DP goes to eat ice cream and be depressed
I think people don;t restart simply for the fact we don;t play much anymore, and have researched so much we are tired of it, i remember being in BC with Aba and restarting every week hehe |

99+ day(s) ago | iv been playing on and off forever now and i restart almost everytime i come back to make it a diffrent thing and i usually never go above the 5-10mil pr range due to it looks very boring up there with the old and overwealthy empires >.> and comm maru hasnt workd the last 3 times iv tried it ether but would be a cool idea :P iv tried a few dumb incomes :P |
